January 2020 Satellite Location FAQ

Q:

Our local Chapter, State and/or Region would like to hold a Centennial Event while the January 18th Gala is taking place. Is there way to share the National Washington D.C. Gala during our local event?

A:

At this time the National Gala will be a private event for registered January 2020 Founders’ Day Weekend individuals and Gala ticket holders.  The D.C. Gala will not be shared at remote locations.

Q:

I am 2020 a Visionary at the Founders’ Society or Circle of Pearls level.  I am to receive a credit of up to $150 toward a Satellite event.  What will happen to my $150 credit

A:

2020 Visionaries at the Founders’ Society or Circle of Pearls level who are NOT attending the January 2020 Founders’ Day Weekend will be given a $150 credit. The $150 credit can be applied to your choice of:

·  $150 Refund

·  Gift Certificate for the Centennial Catalog

·  Donation to the Founders’ Endowed Scholarship Fund

Q:

I have adjusted my personal budget and vacation time so that I could attend a Satellite location.  Since the Satellite locations have been cancelled will you open additional registration spots for the January 2020 Founders’ Day weekend?

A:

The number of available January 2020 Founders’ Day registrations will not increase.  The registration availability is still limited and the January 2020 Founders’ Day Weekend events will not be oversold.

Q:

Why was this decision made to cancel the Satellite locations, weeks after the Centennial registration opened?  It’s very misleading to Sorority members.

A:

The International President, Regional Directors and the National Meeting Planner made the decision to cancel the Satellite locations based on the following factors:

·         Some regions did not have the necessary financial means to host a Satellite location.

·         The $125 ticket price was deemed too high for some locations.

·         The Regional Directors believed there was a potential risk in reserving adequate venue space. This is risk is due to the unknown level of attendance and participation at the Satellite locations.

Q:

I am a Zeta Dove and a 2020 Visionary. It seems that a Zeta Dove who is also a Circle of Pearls Visionary is not receiving the same reduction.

A:

The 2020 Visionary Centennial registration fees and Zeta Dove Centennial registration fees will not have the same fee. Both registration fees have different calculations in place based on the Visionary benefit discounts. Zeta Doves will need to determine which fee is best for them based on: the Wave they plan on registering in; their visionary level as of the Registration Wave; and their personal finances.

January 2020 Washington D.C. event

The January 2020 package is limited to 2000 REGISTRANTS.  Will the Wave 1 - Combo registration close before 4/30/2019 if we reach 2000 registrants BEFORE THAT DATE?

Yes, if we reach 2000 registrants in the Wave 1 - Combo,  then the Wave 1 registration period will close IMMEDIATELY.

2020 Visionaries

Q:

Since the visionary donation period ends on 9/30/2019, what happens if I register as a Circle of Pearls in Wave 1 – Combo, but I hit the Founders' Society by the donation  deadline of 9/30/2019?

A:

At the January and June 2020 Celebrations you will be recognized as a Founders’ Society Donor. Your Registration Fee paid in Wave 1- Combo will be at the Circle of Pearls donor level. You will NOT receive an adjusted/refunded registration fee due to your Visionary status changing to a higher level.

Q:

Am I understanding correctly that in order for me to receive my complimentary registration for the January 2020 Gala in DC as a Circle of Pearls Donor I need to be at that Circle of Pearl level no later than 4/30/2019 and not 9/30/2019?

A:

Correct. We have stated since 2016 that the January 2020 event is limited to 2000 registrant spaces. Existing Founders’ Society and Circle of Pearls as of 2/1/2019 will have reserved January Gala Seats.  New Founders’ Society and Circle of Pearls will need to be at the Founders’ Society and Circle of Pearls level by 4/30/2019 for guaranteed seating at the January Gala.

Q:

On the original information for the 2020 Visionaries posted on the Centennial website,  it was stated that the fee for the January 2020 Kick-off Gala Invite was "Fee Comped " for Circle of Pearls members. So If I decide to attend the 2020 January event and NOT the 2020 June event what is the fee?

A:

The registration fee for the January Only Package is $250 for the Circle of Pearls.

This is the registration fee if you do NOT register in Wave 1 or Wave 2 and ONLY register for the January Package.

Centennial Savings Plan (CSP)

Q:

I am a Visionary 2020 Donor. Will I receive a discount on my registration amount?

A:

Being a 2020 Visionary has its benefits, such as discounted Centennial Registration!  To learn more visit  http://zphib2020.com/visionaries/.

If you are a Visionary 2020 Donor, and expect to have your pledged amount completed prior to Centennial Registration, be sure to select the appropriate registration amount for your installment.  Any difference will be your responsibility to resolve in order for your registration to be paid in full. Any overpayment will be refunded to you via check, within 10-14 days after February 1st, 2020, minus any convenience fees charged by MemberPlanet.  If you are not a Visionary 2020 Donor and would like to be, or you want to know more about the benefits, visit: http://zphib2020.com/visionaries/

Q:

How can I determine if I will need to pay an additional amount for registration if I participated in the CSP

A:

The CSP amount paid into the plan, is your allocated CSP balance towards your Total Registration fee as of the registration date your CSP is used.

Example. If you register in Wave 2 (Early Bird Registration - May 1 - Sep 30, 2019) as Graduate member. Your registration fee is $800.  On May 15, 2019 you decide to register and you have $500 in your CSP.  When you register on  May 15, 2019, the Registration system will take the $800 (Registration Fee) - $500 (CSP balance) and you will need to pay $300 (Remaining balance) to register on May 15, 2019.

Q:

Can  I continue to contribute to my CSP after I register for Centennial ?

A:

Your CSP plan will be terminated once the registration fee is paid

Q:

How much of my CSP will be applied to my registration fee?

A:

Your CSP total balance will be applied directly to the registration payment in the registration system by the Centennial Commission Registration Team.

Q:

What is the maximum amount I can save in my CSP?

A:

The CSP maximum donation has changed to $800 from $900 effective  December 1, 2018.

Q:

I have over $800 in my CSP. What happens to the overage?

A:

If a member has paid more than $800 into the CSP prior to September 30, 2019, the balance will be applied to your choice of:

  • Any overage to the Wave 1 Combo Registration Fee
  • 2020 Visionary plan transfer, if before September 30, 2019
  • Gift Certificate/Credit for Centennial Catalog;
  • Towards placing a name on the Monument;
  • Donation to Founders’ Endowed Scholarship Fund; or
  • Refund of the amount of the over payment upon registration.
