Our project is based on three theoretical views:
The first proposed by Barton (2018) indicates that music is influenced by the social context. If there is a national phenomenon, music can interpret and people can be conscious about it. For example, a common phenomenon is the mistreatment of women, there are many songs which are against this phenomenon, and singers show their disapproval with the lyrics.
The second one states by Rebecca Oxford;2013,pg.29 “The language of peace is defined under a linguistic and cultural umbrella and in that sense Chinese ideographic language, the Biblical text, children’s literature, visual language, music lyrics, and meditative language may all reveal shared meanings of peace”.
A third view that enriches the project is one that raises awareness about the fact that media, family, and school are daily shaping children's and adolescent’s personalities. These models or paradigms are vital since they are incorporated into their attitudes shaping the values that have been taught. It is not uncommon to see children doing adult things. That is the reason why it is important to identify those characters, artists, teachers, family members, community leaders, sports leaders, religious leaders, etc., (in this case singers) who work as a good example, as an individual of peace an individual who only transmits violence. Through the times we have seen how characters live, special on singers or groups musical, have marked generations around the world, idols, icons representing ideology, culture, or society of the moment, they mark routes that, in general, are permanent in behavior patterns for young people (Centro de comunicación Educativa audiovisual, 2013).
Moreover, music has good effects on the soul, and even some studies have shown that "music therapy" affects the body positively and can mean important results in the recovery of patients (Centro de comunicación Educativa audiovisual, 2013).
