Naturalization Exam Posting Requirement

Indiana Code 20-30-5-7(d) requires, not later than November 1, 2022, and not later than November 1 each year thereafter, the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) to report student data from the naturalization examination to the Indiana General Assembly.

Beginning with the 2021-2022 school year, schools are required to report the following information each semester or trimester during which students are enrolled in the U.S. Government course.

• (1) The number of students who took the naturalization examination,
• (2) The number of students who passed the naturalization examination by a score of not less than
• sixty percent (60%) on their first attempt, and
• (3) The pass rate of the naturalization examination regarding the students who participated.
