Thank you to all of the staff and students who attended last night’s Faculty vs. Students basketball game.  We had such a GREAT time!

Quirk

Speaking of, specifically everyone was impressed with Akram Alothman’s 3 pointers, Aiden Murphy scoring inside, Ethan Halberg’s moves, Andrew Sheldon’s great acting on defense and both the coaching and coaching attire from Matt Peczulis. Aiyana Rodriguez, Elise Tobar, Hannah Spivey and Marley Arquinas were all tough and fast on the court. Although you tried, the teachers remain victorious and will now be referred to as “Buzzer Beaters.”

Thank you to the cheer team and Mrs. Bowers- both the cheering and the choreographed dance were outstanding. We appreciate the brave students who performed the half-time activities for our entertainment. Great job to the all the teachers who were scrappy on the court, kept score, reffed, MC’d, worked the door, sold concessions, supervised and cheered. A special thanks to Mrs. Kohout and the Student Senate, who organized this wonderful annual event! We look forward to next year. Boiler up!

Have you ever thought about how long money lasts? A $1 bill lasts 18 months; a $5 bill, two years; a $10 bill, three years; a $20 bill, four years; and $50 and $100 bills, nine years. Coins can usually survive for about 30 years. The U.S., Mint estimates that there is 13 BILLION dollars in loose change laying around in the US! Where is it laying around in your house? Bring it in and donate to the LLS!

You might have a dream of your own – perhaps about your future, what you wish for your generation, or how you hope to reach your goals. Congratulations to our sectional golfers that competed in the Pontiac, Illinois Sectional at the Elks Course on Wednesday afternoon..  Brody Petersen shot a 129, while Sean Hill’s 101 and Brian Morris’s 100 narrowly missed qualifying for the state meet.  The boys conducted themselves as true young gentlemen and made Westview Hills proud.  No practice today...we will resume practice tomorrow at Zigfield Troy from 3-4.
