Sixth Grade PE

Hello! Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! This year, the 6th graders have PE on Wednesdays from 12:45 to 1:30. Please make sure that your child wears footwear that is appropriate for PE. It is also suggested that shorts be worn underneath skirts for PE.

The following letter will be sent home with your 6th grade child on Wednesday, August 20. Please sign the hard copy given to your 6th grade child and have them turn in the bottom portion no later than Thursday, August, 28. Thanks!

Dear Parents,

Participation in the Holy Cross F.I.T. Club is mandatory this year for students in grades 6-8, and each student will be given a F.I.T. Club sheet to fill out. The directions for filling out the F.I.T. Club sheets are on the back of every sheet. Once a sheet is filled out, students will give it to me (Mrs. Obershaw) and can get another sheet from me. Participation in the F.I.T. Club will count for 10% of each student’s 2nd and 4th quarter P.E. report card grades.

The scale below will be used for the number of F.I.T. sheets your child completes and turns in during the first semester of school and that will be reflected in the 2nd quarter report card grades:

1 sheet turned in: C           2 sheets: B              3 sheets: A                  4 or more sheets: A+        

 0 sheets: zero    

The scale above will also be used for the number of F.I.T sheets completed and turned in during the second semester of school and that will be reflected in the 4th quarter report card grades.

**Due date for sheets to be turned in for the 2nd quarter report card grades: Friday, December 19, 2025.

**Due date for sheets to be turned in for the 4th quarter report card grades: Friday, May 1, 2026.

Although students in grades 6-8 may fill in the boxes on the sheets, please monitor them to ensure that they are following the F.I.T. Club rules accurately.  Again, the rules are printed on the back of all mileage sheets.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Obershaw.
