Please read this email for information regarding JHHS parking passes for the 2025-2026 school year.
Every year the number of students interested in parking at JHHS far exceeds the number of parking spots available. Please note, it is a privilege to park at John Hersey High School, and parking passes are awarded to students in good standing.
Students with excessive cuts during the 2024-2025 school year or who have had excessive parking violations at Hersey may NOT be eligible for a parking pass.
For students who are eligible, priority will be given to seniors. Once all seniors have parking passes, eligible juniors will be issued parking passes based on a lottery system. We anticipate being able to sell approximately only 100 passes to juniors.
Important: Excessive absences, failing grades, previous parking violations, and major behavioral infractions may result in the loss of parking pass at any time during the 2025-2026 school year.
Parking interest survey must be filled out using a District 214 email address.
If you would like the opportunity to park in the John Hersey High School parking lot for the 2025-2026 school year, please complete this Parking Interest Survey by Monday, May 5, 2025. Please understand that completion of the Parking Interest Survey does not guarantee a parking pass. The interest survey will be cross-referenced with the 2024-2025 attendance report, grade report and parking violation list to determine if a student is eligible for a parking pass.

Can I get a pass for the entire year? | Parking passes are good for the entire school year, unless the expectations outlined in the parking contract are not followed. |
How can we pay for parking? | Students can pay for the parking pass via check (made out to JHHS) or cash. |
Cost of Parking Pass | Parking is $190 for the school year. |
What do I need to bring to purchase a parking pass? | Payment, Proof of insurance, Drivers License and School ID. |
When can I pick up my parking pass? | Passes can be picked up and paid for in the Attendance Office on the following dates: All passes will be sold during finals week, 5/28 - 5/30. August 12th - August 13th 8:00 am - 3:00 pm |
Will any exceptions be made for students with after school jobs, living in two different households, sports, activities, etc.? | Unfortunately, the school has very limited parking spots available and the demand for spots is exceptionally high. We are unable to make exceptions for unique circumstances. |
Can my parking privileges be lost due to behavior, absences, truancies, tardies, etc.? | Yes, your parking privileges can be lost based on any of these factors. Please refer to the JHHS Parking Information. |
