Adobe/Yearbook
This organization produces the school yearbook and requires application and approval from the sponsor. Students involved in this organization take the yearbook as a course. Students are responsible for planning and organizing the production, design and copywriting, researching, funding, advertising, and distribution. Students have the opportunity to learn to develop leadership skills.

AFJROTC Kitty Hawk Air Society (KHAS)
The mission of Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) is to "Develop Citizens of Character Dedicated to Serving Their Nation and Community". KHAS is the academic honor society of AFJROTC that upholds academic standards and promotes further interest in academic achievement. Specifically, its purpose is to:
1) Promote high academic standards and achievement
2) Promote school and community service
3) Promote self-confidence and initiative
4) Develop leadership abilities and recognize academic excellence
5) Further members’ knowledge of the Air Force's role in aerospace

Marching & Concert Band
The band program at Nogales HS is both curricular and extra-currcicular. During the marching season, many rehearsals and performances occur after school hours. These rehearsals and performances are included in determining grades. All band classes come together to form the Marching Band during the first nine-weeks. In addition to the musicians, the marching band also includes the color guard and dance team. The band performs at community events, school sporting events, parades, competitions, and music festivals both in and out of state.

Cabinetmaking CTSO is a student organization for those who enjoy working with

Cancer Awareness Club
The Cancer Awareness Club will commit to applying all knowledge to its members, formed of young adults who want to spread knowledge of those who have fought or are in the battle of cancer. Together, we will educate others and raise awareness of this disease. As well as get them involved, while helping the community. This knowledge will be applied to younger children of elementary and middle schools, not excluding our whole community and high schools. Our program will be structured with various discussions, presentations, workshops, visits, and passion to proceed and accomplish everything in mind.
Requirements: Open to all NHS students, must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher and complete registration.

Car Club
The car club provides learning opportunities to aid students learning based on the automotive industry. Learning activities include SkillsUSA membership, the NHRA Yes Program (races), and a car show.

Chess
The Chess program provides chess playing opportunities for students in competitions throughout the state of Arizona and AIA sanctioned tournaments. Playing chess helps to develop many mental skills that are useful in life, such as: logic, strategic and tactical thinking, planning and preparation, and problem-solving. Chess Club provides an opportunity to simply have fun playing the game and making friendships, while building these skills at the same time.

Culinary Arts
This student organization is part of FCCLA ( Family, Career and Community Leaders of America ), a national career and technical student organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences education. We use our skills, through Culinary Arts, to make a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing personal, work, and societal issues—competition possibilities at FCCLA Conference held in the Spring.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America® (FCCLA®)
FCCLA is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education students.
FCCLA is a student-led organization with leadership development as a primary focus. Members can become leaders within the organization and participate in competitive events. In addition, students take responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating chapter projects and activities.
All Fashion and Early Childhood Education students are automatically members of FCCLA.

Flags/Color Guard
Color Guard participates in many performances, assemblies, home football games, basketball games, and pep assemblies. The Color Guard also competes at regional, sectional, and state-level competitions from November through March. Tryouts are usually in early May.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
FBLA is a national organization for high school business students. The purposes of FBLA are to support our heritage of free enterprise, to grow in business knowledge and practices, and to gain enthusiasm for entering the challenging business world. The club's objectives are to participate in community and school service projects, to familiarize students with up-to-date business trends throughout visits to local businesses, to sponsor awards for outstanding business students, and to participate in regional, state, and national workshops and competitions. All business students are automatically members of FBLA and are encouraged to participate in various activities.

Gender and Sexuality Awareness
The GSA is an inclusive club that provides a safe space for students who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. The club is open to any student who is either a part of or supports the LGBTQ+ community. GSA meetings are made up of Modern News and history and a group therapy to allow students to discuss questions and gain advice from their peers. GSA builds awareness towards the community and encourages students to learn more about their peers.

Apache Jazz
This group will study advanced improvisation techniques and a wide variety of Jazz styles ranging from swing, bebop, progressive, Latin, and funk/rock. After-school rehearsals and performances are required. Occasional after-school and weekend performances are mandatory. Students are encouraged to take marching band in conjunction with this course under independent study with Mr. Heaton. Combo playing experience in conjunction with this class is also highly recommended.

Sports Analytics Club Program
The SACP program is designed to give students a competitive edge in the technology workforce. The Club members have access to University Professors and Professional Sports Data Scientists from the NBA, NFL, and MLB, who provide guidance and mentorship throughout their learning journey.
Students in our club work on real-world projects to develop essential soft skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Our program provides a collaborative environment where students can work on sports analytics projects, share ideas, and learn from industry professionals. In addition to gaining valuable technical skills, the club members also work on revenue-driven business intelligence research projects.
The club's comprehensive program helps students develop the skills they need to succeed in STEM careers while also allowing them to make a real-world impact through sports analytics projects.

The Student Council’s objective is to provide a democratic forum in which students can address those school related issues which affect their lives; maintain a continuous communication channel from students to both faculty and administration, as well as among our fellow peers within the school; offer a year-long program of functions and community involvement projects for students; furthermore and most importantly, train students in the duties and responsibilities of good citizenship by using the school as the primary training ground.

War Cry
WarCry has existed since the 1940s. Called the “voice of the Apaches,” this club is a 6th-period class. We create, write, and edit all news stories for the student Newspaper. This is a great class for aspiring photographers or journalists. We go over basic media literacy and journalistic writing practices. We are also shifting our focus to more advanced journalism, like podcasting and using social media.
Requirements: must be Sophomore or older and be super cool and chill
