2021 Statewide Watercraft Inspection
& Decontamination Stations Information

Instructions

  • Watercraft inspection and decontamination stations are listed in alphabetical order.
  • Stations listed are issuing and accepting green seals from other state-authorized inspection locations.
  • Seals will be issued upon the completion of inspections or decontaminations upon exiting reservoirs, CPW offices and private service providers. A green seal expedites the inspection process greatly, but boaters with seals still have to stop at the inspection station and have the seal verified by an inspector prior to launching.
  • Remember to request your green seal when leaving your favorite lake or reservoir to ensure a quicker launch next time you boat! Clean, Drained and Dry boats go through inspection and get on the water much faster!
  • Watercraft with ballast, or Inboard and Inboard/Outboard engines, must have a green seal in between launches or a decontamination may take place prior to launching.

Guidance for Boaters to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19

Follow the recommendations from the CDC and CDPHE to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

  • Visit lakes or reservoirs in your local area and do not travel to go boating.
  • Maintain a social distance of six feet minimum when interacting with CPW staff or other people.
  • Keep six feet between you and the vehicle in front of you in line.
  • Wait for the inspector to wave you forward to the inspection station.
  • Remain in your vehicle, set the parking brake, and turn the vehicle off.
  • If you have a green seal receipt, please keep your window closed and show it to the inspector though the window glass.
  • Follow the inspector’s instructions if they need you to get out of the vehicle and assist with the inspection. Always maintain six feet minimum between you and staff or any other people.
  • Avoid groups larger than 10 individuals or gathering with anyone that doesn’t reside in your household.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash, or use your inner elbow or sleeve.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay home if you are sick and keep your family home if they are sick.
  • Clean surfaces in your boat, on your trailer, and personal items using regular household products.
  • Frequently and thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
