QB Club Meeting Minutes
9/12/18 @ HS Cafeteria, 7:30 p.m.
Present: M. Mueller, J. Liegel, C. Blum, K. Langkamp
- Homecoming (game 9/28/18)
- Parade (Friday afternoon)
- Mark reported that Kurt has secured trailers from Leatherberry’s and one truck from Don Larson. Mark has additionally arranged for the WI Army National Guard to drive a Humvee with a trailer. Making sure we have approved drivers for this will be the challenge as there is apparently a large packet of paperwork each driver needs to complete. Mark will check on this.
- Steak Feed (Wednesday, 9/26)
- Steak feed organizers are hoping that most shifts are filled by players and coaches from the sports. Our football shift is in the evening after practice. However, additional volunteers ARE needed from 11am-1pm on Wednesday while the students are still in school. - 50/50 Raffle
- We will look into running this again for the homecoming game, and possibly selling tickets during the parade.
- Need to confirm we have or can use a raffle license
- Will need volunteers to sell them
- Mark suggested we give the winner a week to claim the prize if we pre-sell at the parade.
- We did not designate a point person for this yet...
- Shirts
- We sold roughly $275 of apparel at the last home game, but there are lots of odd sizes and older shirts left yet
- We may wrap up some of the small size shirts and hand those out to younger kids at the parade
- We will give our own players first shot at the remaining adult sizes
- Any left may be used to throw into the crowd at the homecoming game
- Additional items
- Senior booklet - Kari will ask an art teacher if a student wants to work with her on this project. Will also ask BugTussel if they would like to sponsor this again.
- Next meeting - Early October
- Discussion of Bylaws will wait until after the season
