Parking & Parking Permits

Parking and Parking Permits (Secondary Grade Levels Only)

A student must present a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to be eligible for a parking

Permit.

Students must request a parking permit and pay a fee to park in a school parking lot. So long as

space is available, parking permits may be issued throughout the year.

Students will not be permitted to:

• Speed
• Double-park
• Park across a white or yellow line
• Park in a fire lane
• Sit in parked cars during school hours

Students may be subject to disciplinary action for violation of these rules. The district may tow

cars that are parked in violation of these rules. Additionally, MISD has a policy for random,

mandatory drug testing of students in extracurricular programs and students who request a

parking permit to park a vehicle on school property.
