Keep-in-it Local Gear List (December 6 - 8 2021)

Minimum Clothing

  • 1 warm Sweatshirts or Jersey
  • 2 Tee-Shirts
  • 1 Long Sleeved Shirts
  • 1 pair Long Pants
  • 2 pair Shorts
  • 3 pair Socks
  • 4 pair Underwear
  • Bucket Hat (School Policy)
  • Togs (in a tog bag) and a rash shirt (Limit sun exposure)  
  • Wetsuit (optional for Beach Education) 
  • Aqua shoes (optional)
  • A second pair of togs (optional)

Toilet Gear

  • 2 Towels
  • Toothbrush & paste
  • Soap
  • Hairbrush or comb
  • Hair Ties (if needed)
  • Deodorant if needed
  • Hankies or tissues

COVID Mask for children aged 12+

Bedding

  • A Sleeping bag.  
  • Pillow
  • Pyjamas
  • Teddy Bear (optional)
  • A mattress to sleep on (this can be a yoga mat, blow up bed etc.)

Footwear

  • A pair of comfortable walking shoes
  • Jandals or another type of footwear to wear around camp 

Do Not Bring

  • Knives  
  • Electronic Games                      
  • Food or Lollies                          
  • Matches
  • Cosmetics
  • Alarm clocks
  • Watches

Other Bits

  • An Ice cream container of baking or bought equivalent, or a container of fruit (this will be for morning/afternoon tea for the group)
  • Day Bag (big enough to spare clothing, water and food)
  • Drink bottle & Lunch box with a packed lunch for Monday
  • Medication - named & labelled – hand to teacher
  • 4 plastic bags for wet/dirty laundry
  • A named tea towel
  • Sunblock - named
  • If your child would like to bring their own; scooter, roller skates, skate board etc to Bay Skate they are welcome to.  Otherwise they can be hired (price is included in the $35 fee)

On Tuesday night we are planning on watching the movie, Encanto at the Reading Cinemas.  If you would like to send some money with your child so they can buy some treats at the supermarket you are welcome to do so (Maximum of $5)

Packing

Please try to get everything into two bags.  A large one for clothes etc and a smaller one with all bedding.  Students will also need to bring a day bag.  There isn't a whole lot of storage in the dorms so please only pack what is on the list.  There is laundry so clothes can be washed and dried if needed

Last Minute

Please check/treat headlice, and trim/check toe nails the night before camp.

Name EVERYTHING clearly even socks.
