Parent Help: Youth Activity Registration Quick Guide
Use the instructions below to create an account and complete registration for Youth Activities in REPORTER.
- Please note that as a Quick Guide, this documentation does include limited screenshots.

Use these steps to begin registering by selecting the activity for registration, creating an account (if needed), and logging in.
- Click the link you were provided to register for the program. This will open the registration page in REPORTER.
- Select the option Login to Sign Up.
- Select the Create New Account button on the login screen if you do not have an NC State Brickyard account.
- If you already have an NC State Brickyard account, click the “Brickyard Login” button to sign in with your email address and password, then skip the following steps and start at ‘Your cart.’
- Enter your email address, name, and password on the Brickyard Account page. The page will indicate if you need help with the account setup, such as not meeting password rules. Ensure all regulations are met and click Create Account to create your new Brickyard Account.
- If the email you are using already exists in the Brickyard System, you will receive a message indicating that the account has already been created (Need Help Resetting Password?)
- Upon creating your new REPORTER account, you will receive an email from ‘brickyard@ncsu.edu’.
- Once your account has been created, you will return to the REPORTER page. Click the option for Brickyard Login.
- Enter your email address and password to log in.
Once logged in, you should see the activity in your cart.
Below is the Reporter main page, which also displays the Youth Activities tile.

Youth Activity Selection
Note: If you were not provided with a registration link, please use these steps to locate and register for your activity. Also, the catalog is not available on the mobile version of Reporter for registration. Only use the desktop version.
Use the following steps to find and select any desired youth activities.
- Starting at the Reporter main page, select the Catalog option on the far left side screen, just below Home.
- In the Reporter catalog page, select the center option to Explore Youth Activities.
- Next, you will have several youth activities depending on the time of year.
- Also, there will be different formats for how the activities are presented.
- The List option presents the activities with the dates that someone can select to enroll if there are any openings.
- There is the Grid option, which presents the activities as individual tiles to select.
- The Calendar option presents the current month with any available activities to sign up for.
- On the left side of the screen, there will be different options to focus your search parameters.

Choose the member of your family that you are registering for camp.
- If you have a new account, the next step is to add minors to your family. If your children already exist in your family, skip to Step 2.
- Click the link for Manage My Family.
- In the Edit Family popup, click the green “+ add Youth Registrant” next to add someone.
- Fill in the required information for the child. You will “Add” the address when indicating an address, as seen in the demo below.
- Once you have completed adding details popup, click “Save” at the bottom of the Edit Family popup.
- Repeat steps b-d for each child in your family.
- When you return to the Cart, you should see the option to select a child in the “Select Minor” dropdown list. Choose the child you wish to register for the camp from the dropdown list.
- If you wish to register more than one child for the same camp, change the “Number of Participants” field to match the number of children you are registering. Choose the minor in the Select Minor dropdown list for each registrant.)
- You can enter a discount code after selecting the registrant using the ‘Select Minor’ dropdown list. If you do not have one, skip to the next step.
- You will then have the option to indicate whether you would like to add Camp Store money for your child. If you wish to add Camp Store money, click the Add to Order button next to the Camp Store option. On the right side of the screen, indicate the amount of money you want to add.
- Next, click the registration policies link to review the Cancellation and Refund policies. Once reviewed, select ‘Agree’ or click the checkbox from the cart. Once you’re ready to complete your checkout, you will click “Proceed to Order Summary” on the top right.
- If there is no cost to register, you will select Checkout -- otherwise, if there is a cost, you will continue by Completing Checkout and Payment as described in the following section.

If applicable, you will be prompted to indicate your payment method and provide the relevant information for completing your transaction during checkout.
- Click the “-- Please Select a Payment Option --” dropdown and select your payment option.
- Click “Checkout” at the bottom to continue.
- After clicking “Checkout,” you will be directed to our payment processor to complete your payment. (Note that a $50 deposit is due at the time of registration for all payment plan orders.). Click “Continue” to complete payment.
- Enter your credit card information, billing address, & contact information. Click “Continue” to proceed.
- Confirm your payment details and select Continue to submit your payment.
- Once your payment is processed, you will return to the Order Confirmation page: your registration details and links to complete the required camper forms here.
- You’ll see your order details on the left, including a link to “Download Order Summary.” Note that this will also be emailed to you. The Order Summary includes more detailed information on your order transaction.
Before the camp starts, you must fill out our required forms for your camper(s). You can do this directly from the Order Summary page or access and complete these forms later from your REPORTER Dashboard.

Immediately after registration, the order summary will include a link to complete the required forms. As a part of your child’s registration for a Youth Activity, you may be required to complete forms on their behalf. You can complete the necessary forms after registration from the Order Summary or your Homepage, as shown below.
- Begin by opening the forms for the participant
- From the Order Summary, click “Complete Required Forms.”
- If you choose to fill out forms later, you can do so through the Home tab in REPORTER. In the Home tab, locate the camp under Upcoming Youth Activities. Click “View/Edit Forms” to complete the forms.
- You’ll then see which forms are required for each child for each camp. Click each form to fill out the required details.
- After filling out all fields and signing with your digital signature, click “Submit” at the bottom of the form. The status of the form should then change to Submitted.
If the forms still need to be completed, they can be accessed later from your REPORTER dashboard.

When logged in to REPORTER, you can visit your Home page using the left-side menu anytime. Here, you will find your activity dashboard, which includes a section for Upcoming Youth Activities that will display all camps for which family members are registered. Each activity will appear with the following options:
- View Details: A window will open showing activity details (date/time, contact information), an option to download the receipt, and an option to cancel your registration.
- View/Edit Forms: After registration, you have access from your order summary to complete and submit the required forms and waivers for your child to participate in the activity. If you do not complete the forms at that time or would like to review what you submitted, you can do so through this option. Clicking “View/Edit Forms” will display all required forms for each activity and their current status.
- $ Pay - If you did not pay in full at registration, this option is used to complete payment later. For more details, see the section on “Making Payments after Registration.”

If you need to pay the registration fee for a youth activity, locate the pay option under your dashboard’s Upcoming Youth Activities section.
- On your REPORTER dashboard, locate the Upcoming Youth Activities section.
- Select the green Pay button to the right of the activity’s title -- if no button is visible, no further payment is needed.
- Select Pay with Credit Card.
- You will then be guided through our secure payment processor screens to confirm your total, enter your credit card information and billing address, and confirm your payment.
- Once payment is complete, you will be brought to the Order Summary page and receive an updated receipt via email.

When indicating payment in the cart, you may have an option to “Pay with a Payment Plan” in addition to paying with a credit card. If you opt to pay with a payment plan, you must return to REPORTER to submit the payment(s) later.
For activities that you choose a “Payment Plan” as your form of payment:
- Navigate to REPORTER, Home, and Upcoming Youth Activities, then click “$ Pay” for the activity for which you wish to complete the payment.
- Ensure that the “Include in this payment” slider is turned on and indicate the payment amount you wish to make. Agree to the “Registration policies” and click “Pay with Credit Card” to begin payment for the activity.
- You will receive a new Order Summary via email after each payment.
- You may log in and pay any amount until the week before the camp by following Step 2 above. If you include camp store funds, they will appear at the bottom of the payment plan. You can choose when to include that payment by sliding the “Include in this payment” slider.
- Once all payments are completed, the “$ Pay” button should no longer be present for the activity
