Our End of the Year BBQ/Swim party will be at Glen Oaks Swim and Tennis Club. A letter with the field trip information and permission slip will go home on Monday, April 16. The club has had new changes along with new staff. The club staff are the only ones to use the grills. We will be ordering lunch from them. We do not have access to the refrigerators, as well. The children may bring a morning and afternoon snack if they would like to do so. The lunch will be a choice of either a hamburger or hotdog, chips, and a drink. Please send in the signed permission slip and cash payment of $18.00 per person by Friday, April 27, along with the current copies of the insurance and driver’s license. Thank you! We are looking forward to a fun day!
Congratulations to Ashley Keener, Benjamin Amiwero, and Lily Karn-Myers who recently earned the Chapel Award this past month! We are so proud of you! Fantastic job!
A new Scholastic Reading Club flier is going home this week. Coupons were sent home with last week’s flyer and they are still good if you have not used them until the end of April so I wanted the children to have one last chance to use them if they have not yet. The order form and payment are due by Friday, April 20. The online code is LFHTY.
SAT testing is this week - Please be sure your child gets a good night’s sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, brings a healthy snack, and is on time. Please make any appointments after school. The office will hold any late arrivals until the first testing is over. Thank you!
SAT Week - No memory verse quiz, no Bible test, no spelling test, and no homework this week! Enjoy!
There will be no chapel due to SAT week. Regular school uniform but NO CHAPEL dress.
Field Day: Hot dogs will be provided for the children. Please send chips and a drink (one soda can will be allowed this time only) in your child’s lunch box that day. Each student will also need to bring a small (child size) sand pail (please, no hardware store buckets or large pails) and a beach towel. The Dollar Tree is a good place to find sand pails. Please remember to put your child’s name on their sand pail. Children should wear a t-shirt (no tank tops or spaghetti straps), shorts or pants and tennis shoes (no sandals, flip flops, crocs or water shoes). For precaution, send a change of clothes in your child’s backpack. Your child will be out in the sun most of the morning, please apply sunscreen that morning before your child comes to school. Mr. Ortiz will need lots of volunteers. Please contact him directly if you are able to help - email@example.com.
