Elementary students will be dismissed at noon on Friday, October 5th due to homecoming.  Our buses will run their normal routes leaving at noon on Friday. Students will be offered a sack lunch or can bring a lunch to eat at the school before being dismissed. If you do not want your child riding the bus home, please make other arrangements ahead of time.

Walk To School

Holyoke Elementary School will join schools from around the world to celebrate International Walk to School Day on October 10, 2018.

Walk to School Day events raise awareness of the need to create safer routes for walking and bicycling and emphasize the importance of issues such as increasing physical activity among children, pedestrian safety, traffic congestion and concern for the environment. The events build connections between families, schools and the broader community.

West side of town:  Each block walks to Kellogg St.  and walk together to Interocean Ave. crosswalk and cross together on to the elementary

Southeast Side: Walk to Gordon St. walk together to Morlan St. to elementary or high school.  South of the high school walk to Reynolds to Kellogg to the elementary.  

Northeast side: Walk to Morlan Ave on the North side of Denver and cross the highway together.  

Infinite Campus Login Information For Parents

Call or come in to visit with Mrs. Natali Goytia, at the elementary school, or Mrs. Brenda Krueger, at the district office to get access to your students grades, attendance, meal balance, and more. You will need to bring an email address and a password to log into Infinite Campus.

Student ID Cards

Your child will bring home his or her school ID in the near future.  We are sending these home incase you need a photo ID of your child and if your child attends the movie at the peerless, he can get in for a discounted price. 

Halloween Costume and Party Information

If your child is participating in the school parade, please make sure your child can put his costume on by himself and that the costume does NOT require makeup or weapons of any kind.  Students will be allowed to get dressed in their Halloween costume at 2:30 pm. Parents will be allowed to enter the elementary building at the beginning of the parade, which will start at 2:45 pm. Those parents helping with classroom parties will be allowed to  come in at 2:45 pm as well.

2:30 Students start changing into costumes

2:45 Parents/Room parents will be allowed in - please make plans accordingly.

2:45 Parents allowed in the building and parade starts Kindergarten, 1st grade, and then 2nd grade students will parade into the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and then 5th grade rooms.

*Parties will be after the parade.


Reminders about Illness

This is the time of year that we start thinking about illness such as the flu.  Please make sure your child stays healthy by getting a good night’s rest, eating healthy meals, and washing hands regularly. Also remind your child of the following to avoid lice.

*Use your own hair brush or comb

*Use your own hair ties, bows, and clips

*Wear your own hat

Athletic Events Home and Away

If you and your family are attending an event at the school please make sure your child is with you at all times. Students should be sitting in the bleachers or stands with their parents and not running around, playing on the equipment, playing in the commons area, or other areas.  

Thank you for helping make sure all kids are safe during events and activities.


We want to remind you that the school does offer breakfast to all students in the district.  Our hope is that every child will start the day with a nutritious breakfast so they are able to be successful throughout the day.  If your child would like to participate in the breakfast option offered, please know that we start serving at 7:50 am and end when our bell rings at 8:05 am and on late start Mondays breakfast is offered from 8:40 am-8:55 am. Because this is a short time frame, please support your child by bringing him/her early enough that they have time to eat before the school day starts. 


With so many of us using technology and email, we would like to start sending out our monthly newsletter via email.  Please stop in the office and check with Mrs. Goytia to make sure your email is accurate.
