Parameter itu ada 2 jenis.
Dari gambar di atas bisa kita lihat, kotak berwarna merah bisa kita sebut sebagai Parameter value. Keliatan kan batang hijau yang slim tersebut ?.
Setiap Parameter function memiliki function berbeda – beda. Dan bagaimana tergantungnya kita menggunakannya.

Brightness changes the voice by boosting or cutting the voice's high-frequency content. The higher the value, the brighter the sound. Lowering the value creates a more mellow voice.

Similar to Brightness, Clearness is designed to 'clear' the voice, making it sharper. A higher value sharpens the voice, lowering it gives a more muted sound.

The Pitch Bend Parameter goes from -8192 to 8191 with 0 as its default. It can allow the voice to go up to ±2 octaves from the original note. However it needs to be used with the Pitch Bend Sensitivity to unlock its full range.

Portamento Timing is used to change the timing of the notes. However, it should be mentioned that Portamento is generally affected more by the singing style, rather than the Portamento Timing Parameter itself after the 1.1 update. The higher the value is, the later the timing is; the lower the value the sooner the note is sung.

Dynamics basically adjust the singer's volume across the track, allowing you to create effects like crescendo or diminuendo, and when it's used effectively adds expressiveness. Also allows you to do manually the attacks and accents in the song. The default "curve" is a straight line at the medium dynamic value.

Breathiness controls the weight of the voice’s breathing. Higher values add more breath to the voice. In earlier versions of the software this was one of the parameters the users preferred keep at minimal, due the inherent "metallic" sound of the breaths, and because also it may affect the speech clarity.

The Opening parameter reproduce the variation of pronunciation through adjustments of the opening of the mouth. Higher opening values can produce a clear, open tone, while reducing the opening value can produce a less distinct tone or pronunciation. It also affects the overall pronunciation, the open vowels are the most affected by this parameter. Its default value in the editor, it's set at max.

Cross Synthesis (クロス-シーサセス) is a parameter that allows a voicebank to be able to blend into another voicebank, in a gradually and progressive way. For example, a "natural" voicebank being able to blend into sound like a "power" voicebank. It is only available with the full version of the software and is not accessible with the "lite" version of the software.

Why does the result have little in common with live singing?
Indeed, unless you add Vibrato, Attack and other "expressive elements", Vocaloid sounds very far from natural. In fact, without introducing "expressive elements" it only provides "correct static synthesis of vocal speech", i.e. correct melody and correct speech. However:
1) No vocalist in the world can produce a static sound. An amateur singer will have plenty of instabilities and distortions in pitch, volume and spectrum. A professional will also have a lot of instabilities, but they will be the aforementioned "expressive elements", which "correct static synthesis of vocal speech" lacks.
2) Every professional singer and even an amateur vocalist possesses his or her own unique performing nuances. Acoustic parameters-wise, they are coordinated changes in Pitch, Spectrum, Volume accents and breathing, i.e., it is not a synthesis of a static sound. Besides, very often these changes are insignificant and remain unnoticed by an unskilled ear. However, as in cooking, a tiny amount of spice may go unnoticed but without it the food seems less delicious.
3) "Expressive elements" are more important for "creating" a performer than his initial samples/spectrum. We would never recognize Tom Jones, Mariah Cary, Sting or Celine Dion, should their voices be deprived of the "expressive elements" while static samples/spectrum remained intact. Generally speaking, the result you get in Vocaloid without Vibrato, Attack and other additions is the illustrative example of this.

Yup, dari kesimpulan source di atas bilang gini, “dengan ditambahnya suara atau effect vibrato maka suara notes vocaloid jauh dari kata natural. Dan tidak semua jenis vibrato itu pas dan tergantung dari jenis phoneme yang kita gunakan juga”.
Jadi intinya, sangat penting sekali bagi kita untuk menentukan panjang pendeknya vibrator pada suatu phoneme. Kadang emang dengan menggunakan default saja emang sudah cukup baik. Cuman untuk secara teknik advance diperlukan dalam pemahaman penggunaan teknik costume penerapan vibratornya.
Coba perhatikan gambar di atas. Pada bagian Vibrato parameter bisa kita geserkan ke kanan atau ke kiri. Kadang saat kita mendegar note terasa kurang sesuai vibratonya bisa kita lakukan costume point yaitu dengan meggeser atau mengatur panjang pendeknya suatu vibrator.
Pada gambar di atas pada kotak warna merah, jika kita klik kiri 2x maka akan muncul Vibrato Property. Dengan function tersebut kita juga bisa mengatur jenis Vibrato Length dan juga Vibrato Type nya. Untuk typenya bisa kalian coba sendiri ya. Mungkin lain kesempatan nanti bisa kita bahas bareng – bareng.
