- We have exceeded our revenue numbers.
- We are hitting the number for classroom supplies and requests will continue.
- We will increase what we allocate for Teacher Appreciation. We still have a good amount of money.
- We had budgeted money for the middle school time capsule and that came in under budget.
- Donations have really slowed down
- Have we determined what we will carry over? Historically it is $5-10k. If we carry $10-$15k that would be great.
- Still planning to do a Blue Ribbon BBQ night coming up in the spring
- Also looking at doing a fundraiser night with Arlington Café or Dell’s
- Thank you for providing snacks/treats before break. That helps morale and things are feeling better with staff and teachers.
- Looking forward to fewer positive results from Covid Pool testing. We are waiting for 6 more pools to come back from this week but so far no positive pools.
- About 50% of kids are un-masked/masked. By the end of the week that will probably increase with more unmasked kids.
- Looking at 8th grade recognition. Last year we had a bbq that was supported by the PTO. In 8th Grade we have a few events that have typically happened in the last 4 days.
- Last day would be a Friday (6/24). We have June 20th off. So that Tuesday is typically a field day/picnic/bbq. Then the next day would be Canobie Lake. The third day would be an end of year celebration or dance. The 4th day the kids typically go to the high school. We are meeting with the teachers on how they want to plan those days.
- The 8th Grade Recognition week is typically a set fee and we will need to get approval to take the kids out of state for Canobie Lake.
- We will need parent volunteers to help organize the 8th grade activities.
- Question from JD – can you start to ask the teachers what they would like to do for Teacher Appreciation Week so we can plan ahead? BM: Yes, and what has been nice is that we are able to be more proactive and less reactive to things as they come up. Nice to be able to look forward and start planning.
- Julie has paperwork and history from CheddarUp to help plan for 8th Grade Recognition.
- We would like to try and have a meeting in person in April. Have one meeting at Gibbs and one meeting at Ottoson.
- Next PTO Meeting Date/Time: Tuesday, April 5, 2022 @ 7pm at Gibbs.
