SUNDAY PACIFIC PALISADES WORKSHOP

Leader:

 Good Morning everyone:

In our desire to keep ourselves safe from outside interference it would be best if we all set our zoom dials to speaker preference only.

If you are celebrating a birthday or a milestone in days or months, please let us know in the chat box, please direct it to the SCRIBE  (Which is__________ today)

Welcome to the Sunday Morning Open Meeting of the Pacific Palisades AA Workshop. My name is ___________ and I am an alcoholic.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

This is an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous; however participation is limited to members of the AA fellowship.

In these complicated times of zoom meetings our anonymity can be problematic.

If you are concerned about your anonymity please familiarize yourself with zoom protocol to either block your name and or image.

We will be placing everyone on mute during the meeting.

You will be able to unmute yourself during the prayer and we encourage you to stay afterwards for fellowship.

Going forward; During the question and answer portion of the meeting, the speaker will respond to your questions that you can submit to the Scribe by chat.

If anyone is new to AA, counting days, taking a chip or celebrating a birthday please let us know by typing to our scribe ___(Allison)____ in zoom chat.

I have identified myself as an alcoholic.     Are there any other alcoholics present?

We welcome our friends from out of town and around the world.  Thank you for zooming in.

It is a custom in Southern California to read a portion of Chapter 5 from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, entitled “How it Works.” Today, I have asked ___________ to read it for us.
