  • Visit TMU website https://www.tmuni.org/ and click ‘Join us!’ on the homepage and create an account in the online application system.
  • The online application can be time-consuming. We strongly suggest applicants complete the online application at least three days before the online application deadline (you may modify the contents of the application before each admission deadline).

Entrance Examination

  • Applicants can take the entrance exams for contact-basis anytime after application
  • 10 AM, July 7 (Mon), 2025 (Entrance Exam 1 - Scholarship basis)

    *Applicants must be accepted on a contract basis with a minimum of 60% to be eligible to attend the scholarship examination.

  •  A passport will be required to attend the entrance examination.

Announcement of Admissions Decision

Results are released on the entrance exam day

  • Results will be sent individually by e-mail that the applicant has used for the registration.
  •  Applicants will be ranked based on Entrance Exam scores.

4

Tuition Fee Payment

  • The tuition fee must be paid within 14 days after the release of results to qualify for a 50% discount (clause 12.1.2.). A minimum payment of 1 million UZS is required to secure a contract-based position. Tuition fees can also be paid in installments. The Public Offer for payment processing will be sent via email to the address provided during registration.

※ Applications may not be accepted if the admission quota is filled. The scheduled dates above are subject to change. Please make sure to check the TMU website for any changes in dates.

  3.    ADMISSION QUOTA

The quota for local admissions is determined as 100 for each department:

The quota for international admissions is determined as 50 for each department.

※ In case the number of admitted students will not exceed 60% of the Admission Quota for a department, this program will not be opened in the Fall 2025 semester.

4.   THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE APPLICATION 

4.1. Application Process

4.1.1. You must make sure to input correct personal information and all other documents. When the required documents are uploaded, the Admissions office immediately starts checking all information you provided. Before the Admissions office starts checking, you can modify your data or documents. But once your application is verified and approved, you cannot change it. The Admissions Department can change and enter the correct information if you notice by phone or e-mail (admissions@tmuni.org).

4.1.2. You should not submit multiple applications and will be disqualified from admission if found do. Multiple applications are defined as having more than one registration number due to multiple submissions.

4.1.3. The Admission Office is not able to check  the arrival status of application verification in your email. Thus, please check your registered email until you get the message about successful submission of your application.

4.1.4. The Admissions Office has the right to request additional documents from you, should there be any need to clarify the eligibility or verify the authenticity of the submitted materials. You are fully responsible for any disadvantages that may occur due to errors and omissions in the information provided in the application.

4.2. Admission and Registration

4.2.1. Successful Applicants who are expected to graduate from High School/Lyceum/College         (applicants for bachelor’s degree) must submit their graduation certificate after the entrance exam results are         released. If not, the admission offer will be canceled.

4.2.2. If an admitted applicant wishes to select another university, he/she must contact the Admissions Office (info@tmuni.org) as soon as possible and inform about canceling the registration at TMU.

4.2.3. If you get admission from two universities, you must choose one. You cannot be enrolled at two or more universities at the same time. If you do not comply with this regulation, your admission offer will be canceled.

4.2.4. If you are a student at another university, you must leave or graduate from it before the Academic year 2025-2026 starts at TMU(September 8, 2025). Failure to comply with this regulation will result in cancellation of the admission offer for you.

4.2.5. TMU does not disclose any information related to admission decisions, such as the eligibility of each applicant, the evaluation contents, and the reason for rejection or disqualification.

4.2.6. Admission offers will be canceled if you are found to submit false information, fake documents or try unfair practice or cheating at any time during the application process. This rule applies even after admission or enrollment at TMU.

5.   ADMISSIONS ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

Each applicant must meet the admissions requirements by August 22, 2025.

Note: These discounts for certificates granted during the enrollment process cannot be combined with other scholarships. They will not be added to any merit-based scholarships or other discounts
mentioned in Clause 9. It is required to choose one scholarship or discount for the first semester during enrollment.
Discounts for the English proficiency certificates are valid for the 1st semester only. From the 2nd semester onwards, students can compete for English Proficiency Excellence Scholarships.

Proof of language proficiency is required as 1 or 2; test results must be acquired before January 20, 2025

  1. English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 45, IELTS 5.0, DuoLingo 80, CEFR B2 or higher for all departments
  2. Other official documents indicating proof of language proficiency:

  • School profile (if a school is entirely in English and in one of the following English-speaking countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts, and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States of America)
  • ELPT (TMU English Language Proficiency Test. Those applicants who scored more than 40% in ELPT will be directly accepted on a contract basis to the Dept. of English Language and English Language Teaching, and Dept. of Early Childhood Education.

Online Application

Compulsory

  • The Application for Admission should be submitted by August 22.
  • Online applications can be completed using Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. Applicants should consider that they may encounter errors if other browsers are used when completing the online application.
  • Submission by e-mail or fax is not accepted.
  • Your application is considered as “complete” if you receive a verification email from the Admissions Office. You cannot cancel or change the Admissions Type or the Admissions Program after your application is verified.
  • You can change Personal Information and the uploaded files before they are verified by the Admissions Office and the application deadline (17:00 Aug 22, 2025).
  • Online application for the Fall 2025 intake must be completed by 17:00, Aug 22 (Fri), 2025 (Uzbekistan Time).

Document Submission

Compulsory

  • Applicants, who have been admitted to TMU, must submit the following original documents upon notification of the University:
  •  A diploma from Lyceum/College/High School or an equivalent certificate from the school where the applicant has studied.

7.        ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS

7.1. Application Process.
Applicants should go to the official website of the university tmuni.org and click on the 'APPLY NOW' button, which directs them to the admission platform.

         
Alternatively, applicants can register via the official Telegram bot by searching for @tmuqabulbot. The following steps should then be completed in the specified order:

Complete the application process by clicking the 'End the test/Skip the exam' button once all required information has been provided.

Ensure all uploaded documents are clear and all information is accurate before submitting.

*After submitting the application, the prospective student receives the below-mentioned message via @tmuqabulbot.

End of the exam. Thank you.

Your application is registered. We will inform you soon about whether your application is rejected or approved.

6.2. Approvement or Rejection of the application.

The status of the application is ACCEPTED if the application contains all the required information and applicant’s personal data.

The applicant receives the below-mentioned confirmation message if his/her application is accepted:

 “Dear (applicant’s full name)!

The Admission Committee of Tashkent Metropolitan University has reviewed your application and approved it. Please check the schedule and your email regularly for further information or changes regarding entrance exams.”

The status of the application will be REJECTED if the application does not contain all the required information and applicant’s personal data correctly.

The applicant receives the below-mentioned message if his/her application is rejected*:

Your application was rejected.

Current status: Rejected

Comment: Please, resubmit your documents in a proper way, some informations are missing in your application

8. ADMISSION CRITERIA

Admissions decisions are made based on an overall score of entrance examination for each applicant, which is used to assess the applicant’s knowledge of particular areas of study depending on each department. Each applicant must take two entrance examinations, one for the contract and one for the scholarship (scholarship based exam is not mandatory) according to TMU Admissions regulation, whereas international applicants cannot participate in the scholarship-based exam. Those applicants who scored more than 40% out of 100% in the contract examination will only be allowed to take the scholarship examination. The applicant’s knowledge of the subjects is examined according to the following admissions criteria.

Entrance Exam total score is calculated by the sum of the subjects' scores in each Department Exam Criteria mentioned above. Each subject is on a 100-point scale. The Minimum entrance score of the exam shall be 40% of the highest score in that department. Applicants getting less than 40% of the highest score shall not be admitted. Applicants will be ranked based on Entrance Exam scores only, whereby 100 applicants will be admitted to the study program in the 2025/2026 academic year. When some of the 100 successful applicants resign to enroll, applicants ranked 101 or lower will take the empty positions.

9. SCHOLARSHIPS

9.1. Merit Scholarships:

The top 42 applicants (local applicants only) achieving high scores in the Entrance Exam will be awarded merit-based scholarships for the first semester. International applicants are not eligible to participate in the scholarship exam or receive Merit Scholarships. The scholarship exams will take place at the university in offline mode.

Note: The early pay discount and the discounts for English Proficiency certificates awarded during the enrollment process cannot be combined with the merit-based scholarships or any other discounts mentioned in Clause 5.

9.2. Academic Excellence Scholarships:

Each semester, the top 42 students (if the number of students is 100 and higher, but if the number of students is less than 100, the distribution of scholarships will be calculated according to the following formula):

achieving the highest total scores from each program will be granted tuition scholarships for the next semester and th
e scholarships will be awarded starting from the second semester onwards.
*The number of scholarships may vary according to the number of actual students in the study semester in each department.

        

9.3. English Proficiency Scholarships:

Up to 20% of scholarship is offered to students based on their IELTS score and its equivalent in TOEFL or Duolingo. Scholarships will be awarded starting from the second semester onwards.

Students should apply for EPS every semester with a valid certificate. EPS is only given to applicants/students who apply every semester and pass the scholarship screening done by Academic Affairs. 

9.4. Scholarship For Extra Abilities:

TMU Excellence Scholarships (Fully-funded TMUES) are provided to enhance the university’s affordability and to recognize and reward the individual gifts and talents of the prospective students.        

TMUES are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place winners of the below-listed international olympiads/ world championships:

   The requirement is maintaining satisfactory academic performance until graduation. The student’s GPA should not be lower than 3.3 per semester.

Participants of all the above-mentioned international tournaments and the applicants with:

10. ADMISSION ON A CONTRACT BASIS

The successful applicants who scored higher than 40% of the highest total score in the department and have met the English proficiency requirement will be admitted on a contract basis.

Applicants who have IELTS 5 or higher, and those who passed the ELPT will be exempted from the contract-based entrance exam and directly accepted to the Dept. of English Language & English Language Teaching, and Dept. of Early Childhood Education.

11. ONLINE AND SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATION PROCESS

11.1. Online-Examination Process:

11.1.1. All applicants have the option to attend the online examination immediately after completing the online application process (via the Telegram bot).

11.1.2. Applicants will take the online examination based on the subjects corresponding to the department they selected earlier, as outlined in Clause 8 of this document.

11.2. Scholarship (offline) Pre-Examination Process:

Applicants will be informed about the upcoming examination.

*The Exam Agreement Form is a document in which the exam participants are introduced to the terms, conditions, and rules of the examination.

11.3. Announcement of the examination result

12. THINGS TO KNOW WHEN ADMITTED

12.1. Tuition fee payment details

12.1.1. Admitted students must complete the enrollment process by paying a down payment of 1,000,000 UZS, which is included in the tuition fee, within the designated period to secure their contract-based position. If applicants fail to do so, their admission offer will be canceled.

12.1.2. Students who pay 5,000,000 UZS within 5 days after being admitted will receive a 50% discount on the tuition fee for the first (Fall) semester of the Foundation year.

12.1.3. A full tuition fee of 20,000,000 UZS must be paid for the entire Foundation year if a student chooses to pay via the Education Loan (Ta’lim krediti). The university will assist students with all necessary procedures and documentation related to the loan.

12.2. If you cannot start studying at TMU in Fall 2025, you can secure your status as a student at TMU by paying tuition during enrollment. You should approach the Academic Affairs Department at the period mentioned in the Academic Calendar of TMU to write the statement. When you return to the University for a later semester, you do not have to pay the amount of tuition fee that you have paid.
