2025 Ramadan Iftar at the Masjid

Assalam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,

Alhamdulillah, the CIMIC Ramadan Committee is pleased to announce the return of iftars inside the Masjid.

The iftars serve as a way of bringing our community closer together and bring each other closer to Allah. We realize that this initiative is important to our community members and strive to foster this community spirit while addressing many of the logistical and safety challenges that have occurred in the past.

We will give out food boxes at the Masjid from local restaurants this Ramadan every night, InshaAllah. Utilizing the boxes will decrease the mess, improve throughput, and minimize food waste. We know that the month of Ramadan is a month that has been legislated for us to increase our Taqwa of Allah, remembering that Allah is always watching us, attempting to follow what He commands, and stay away from what He prohibits. As a community, a major goal we have is to limit the amount of food we waste and trash that we generate this year. For that reason, families are advised to take their food boxes home and avoid wasting any of them, in general, but especially during this blessed month.

We also recommend that our community members get involved with volunteering for the iftars. One challenge we’ve faced in the past was a lack of volunteers, which led to insufficient time to properly clean up and prepare for Taraweeh. This is a means of receiving a bountiful amount of reward, cleaning and assisting the house of Allah in the most blessed month of the year.

For those generous community members who wish to sponsor an iftar or part of an iftar, we invite you to fill out the form at this link https://forms.gle/kLGmAm1Rw2PoLv7P8 or stop by the office. May Allah bless you and your families.

All in all, we ask that Allah allow us and our families to reach the month of Ramadan, benefit as a community, and draw closer to Him.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan,

CIMIC Ramadan Committee
