The WVJH Sportsmanship Pledge
We are in it for the kids
At West Valley Junior High, sportsmanship is our top priority. I encourage you to take the “pledge” to emphasize good sportsmanship above all else.
Students need to know that integrity, fairness, and respect are lifetime values taught through athletics and that these are the principles of good sportsmanship.
Why do we need good sportsmanship?
By following these simple principles, parents can make proper behavioral choices while viewing their children’s athletic events.
Parents who pledge agree:
Thank you for taking the time improve the overall experience for everyone involved.

Do you need to contact a JH Staff Member?
From time to time, parents need to contact Junior High staff about a variety of things. The JH staff directory is up-to-date and available on the MLC Website or by going to this link. You can navigate to the directory by going to the MLC website>Staff>Staff Directory>Junior High Staff. The directory contains a list of staff, staff emails, and staff phone numbers. Please let Ryan DeLozier (email@example.com) know if you have any questions. Thanks.
Seventh Period is Up and Running
Seventh Period is a great opportunity for students to receive extra help completing homework or missing assignments from 2:40 PM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday each week. Students attending 7th Period should go to the cafeteria right after the final bell, before 2:40 PM. Students need to sign-in with one of the teachers present. Once signed in, students will go to a classroom to work on homework or missing assignments. Seventh Period ends at 3:30 PM, so parents need to make arrangements to pick up their student by the front doors. If you have questions about seventh period please contact Mr. Fawcett or Mr. Griffith.
