MLK Vision and Goals

Fechter

What resolution or goals you have this 2024 year?

Our 4 North Stars all center to “Love”

How can everyone come in with the same potentials if the levels are at 25%, same potential, but not the same potentials if we are at these  leves. What is the overall goal?

25% to 41% is still fairly low. Speaking on equity, how does the equity that needs more help, whoever needs more help, not at reading proficiency, what about the kids are at proficient?

Will not be ignoring the other students.

February: Community Meeting #1. This team is community members, we do not necessary speak for everyone. Would want to get some ideas for community meeting coming up. What information, and what info do we need to know, and who, to help us think about our budget to help student achieve the highest potential.

The Community meeting in person: we would have some great conversations, teaming up with other family groups,

Assistance with Social emotional and academic achievement in math and english test scores.

CNY, Black History, Latino History, respect level and understanding the community. Making sure that these community meetings, that we have a diverse groups, having different groups that make up MLK MS. Making sure everyone is represented and heard.

Diverse group, all voice heard, and facilitation to be done with representation

Expanded information for English Learners

High % of students have IEPs. Making sure we think about IEP students.

Parents of IEPs and ELs

In-person meeting at 5:30PM, ways to understand each other and what to do. Does a 5:30 meeting work for people.

Good idea to also have alternative opportunity to attend.
