Please note that newly updated topics will be highlighted.

DMV BUSINESS CHANGES:

May 5, 2021: ONGOING COVID-19 PROCEDURES FOR ALL DMV LOCATIONS AND INSPECTION LANES

DMV is committed to the safety of our customers and staff, which includes all DMV locations and inspection lanes. As such, DMV wishes to remind the public that masks are required for all customers seeking service. Temperatures will be taken upon arrival; customers will not be able to enter the DMV facility or inspection lanes if their temperature exceeds 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or if they are experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms. In order to best protect our staff and customers: when visiting a DMV location: please do not enter the DMV with more persons than absolutely necessary to complete your transaction. When seeking a vehicle inspection: please leave passengers at home, or ask that any passengers proceed to the end of the inspection lane until the vehicle inspection is complete.

January 7, 2021: EXTENDED WEDNESDAY HOURS RETURN

Effective Wednesday, January 13, 2021, the operating hours of the DMV will be 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Wednesdays only. Reinstating extended hours will accomplish increased flexibility for Delaware residents to access DMV services. To enter the DMV, all visitors must wear a face mask or covering, take a health screening, and socially distance when feasible. Reduced building capacity of 30% is still in effect.

As of Monday, December 14, 2020, all DMV locations will be operating at 30% building capacity. Please do not enter the DMV with more persons than absolutely necessary to complete your transaction.
