SCHOOL BOARD/DISTRICT MEETINGS:
See the SMFCSD website for more information and zoom link CAFÉ CON DIEGO: Join Superintendent Diego Ochoa for coffee and conversation. Superintendent Ochoa is building on the prior Superintendent Coffee Chat events held starting in 2018. The meetings are held at the district schools to provide parents an easily accessible way to meet and talk to the Superintendent. Parents can hear about district programs, ask questions, and suggest ideas for the future. Café con Diego will be held at Bowditch Middle School on Tuesday, August 31, 9:00am It will be located by the main entrance to the right of the administrative building by the grass area. Superintendent Ochoa looks forward to having coffee, apple fritters, pan dulce and conversations with parents and the Bowditch community. SAN MATEO COUNTY PARKS: San Mateo County Parks is embarking on a strategic planning process for their interpretive programs and resources (including classroom programs and field trips!) and they want to hear from you! Our PTA Group has a unique perspective of the parks and the opportunities that are offered. Please complete this survey to help them gather input on how they can improve their outreach, communication and programming. CAMPUS REMINDERS Phones: Student phones are to be off and away during school hours. Please help us by not texting or calling your student during school. Backpacks: A reminder that students may have backpacks in class. However, backpacks need to be able to fit under the chair. Large backpacks and roller backpacks will not be allowed in classrooms. Parking Lot: A staff member’s car was hit in the parking lot Thursday, August 26th after school just east of the parent drop off loop.
