Grievance Procedure for Policy Violations
SAFE SPORT VIOLATIONS
If a Maverick Swim Club member (athlete or family) has observed a violation of MAAPP/SafeSport, please report it immediately to SafeSport through one of the following channels:
Violations that qualify: criminal activity, use/sale/distribution of drugs, physical abuse or inappropriate touching (inclusive of massages/rubdowns performed by coaches), coach and athlete sharing hotel room, pictures/videos taken within locker rooms, or any violation of the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP).
If your concern relates to sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, or sexually explicit communication (verbal or through any form of media), contact the US Center for Safe Sport immediately via options above. Certain people are required to immediately report misconduct. USA Swimming’s Mandatory Reporting Rule is found here.

CODE OF CONDUCT VIOLATIONS
If a Maverick Swim Club member (athlete or family) has observed a violation of the Maverick Code of Conduct, or other team policies, please do the following:
STEP ONE:
Discuss the violation with the lead coach who is responsible for the swimmer/family member who committed the violation.

STEP TWO:
The lead coach (in collaboration with Head Coach/Head Admin Coach, when needed) will keep a record of the observed complaint as well as the resolution reached to be shared with the Board of Directors.
STEP THREE:
If resolution is not able to be with Head Coach/Head Admin Coach involved, the observed violation will be brought to the Maverick Board of Directors (president@mavswim.org).
If either party feels like the resolution is not satisfactory, they may ask to take the complaint to the next step.
