“How can a government operate without taxation?”

“This depends on how you define ”government”.

If you, like many, define government as a ”monopoly on force”, then Freedom Haven has NO government,
But
If you, like Geroge Washington, define government as simply “force”, then Freedom Haven has a government. In Freedom Haven, government is us whenever any of use use force. Force is only ever justified if its the minimal needed for self-defense to stop murder, kidnapping, and theft.

In addition, Freedom Haven also has hired security, like building security or mall cops, who defend private property from attackers.

The Constitution of Freedom Haven forbids the use of force for anything beyond this limited self-defense, and it forbids taxation, or any other form of theft, to fund government services or anything else.

Each vessel in Freedom Haven will have their own way of implementing a local ‘government’ whether informal or formal. The New Liberty vessel will have a court system that is self-funded by those who bring forward complaints to be resolved, and the full time vessel security will be paid for out of 10-year security and maintenance funds which are part of the estimated costs of its financial plan.”

Monthly Freedom Haven constitution section mini-overview

The Freedom Haven Constitution’s definition of Freedom:

FREEDOM (or LIBERTY) is defined as living Life with the least amount of Force (or threat of force) used against you as possible.

Freedom is a God-given natural human right, and exists in the absence of any Government.
Government cannot create Freedom - it can only preserve, protect, restore, or suppress it.
Freedom is the ability to use your Life and Property according to your will, as long as it does not take away from someone else's Freedom to do the same with their Life and Property. Freedom is what you are naturally able to do in the absence of someone threatening to Murder you, Kidnap you, and/or Steal and/or destroy your Property.
For example: We claim the privilege of worshiping (or not worshiping) how, where, or what God (or Gods) we may as long as the performance of that worship does not infringe upon anyone else's freedom to do the same and does not threaten life, freedom, and/or property.
