ABC AND YOUR ROLE
The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is making Atlanta better by bike. We envision a city where bicycling is a safe and convenient form of everyday transportation, where people of all ages and communities have access to a connected network of safe bikeways. We see bicycling as a tool for community building, personal and public health and transportation equity.
Main Responsibility: Assist in developing the Community Advocacy Toolkit, a comprehensive page on the atlantabike.org website that empowers and educates community members on projects in their neighborhoods.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
WHAT YOU WILL GET OUT OF THIS
This internship is eligible for college credit. Plus, you get a free ABC t-shirt, free entry to any paid ABC events, and one-year membership.
We have fun while forging change in the culture and infrastructure of the city we love, and we’re looking for a community-minded Atlantan to join our team. ABC is located in the Reynoldstown neighborhood, right on the Wylie Street section of the BeltLine and convenient to the King Memorial and Reynoldstown/Inman Park MARTA stations as well as the 21 bus line. We encourage commuting by active transportation, and provide a shower, lockers, and a supportive environment for utilitarian cycling. Each month we set aside a staff social hour to build relationships and get to know each other better. Our staff is eclectic, but we all share a passion for our mission, love of a good laugh, and a commitment to inclusion and equity.
Send resume and cover letter to email@example.com with subject line “Policy and Planning Intern 2019.”
Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis with a hiring committee. Interviews will include a practical, hands-on component. Position open until filled.
