Tulalip Indian School Lesson Plan

OVERVIEW & PURPOSE/PLANNING

The lesson below will highlight the importance of controversial educational experiences that shaped the community. There will be elements that describe negative and potentially triggering events as recorded from the text Tulalip From My Heart by Harriette Shelton Dover. It is for these reasons that the lesson standards begin in the 6th grade. The content was created and cited with the intent to have students understand the severity of the historical accounts. Please consider the suggested grade when selecting educational materials.
