Hello, I am a Mother of two girls and a Grandmother to two little boys. I was raised on the West End of the Island in Meldrum Bay and Gore Bay. After High School I left the Island to go to College and I returned in 2006. I was fortunate to be part of the team that opened the Childcare in 2007. We went from a one room multi age group with three or four staff to a bustling enterprise with over twenty staff, two locations, full rooms and waiting lists.

Working with families and children has been my passion for the last forty some years. When I was asked to join the Board of Directors for Assiginack and Gore Bay Childcare there was no hesitation. This organization has been my home for the past ten years and even though I retired I still feel ownership of its successes and struggles.

I am delighted to be able to continue to help with the future of childcare and family support wherever this may take us in the years to come.
