Hello Troop 77!
Our First Patrol Leaders Committee meeting will happen this Tuesday. If you are a Patrol Leader or member of the Senior Patrol, you’re required to attend. If you cannot, please find a replacement Scout who can attend and report back to you.
A few reminders:
Tomorrow (weather permitting) Scouts will compete in the annual Iron Chef Competition! Patrols will be given a random assortment of groceries to which they must plan, cook and serve a dish in the allotted time period.
For your calendar! Our first Court of Honor will be on August 26th, in place of our regular weekly meeting. Tomorrow, August 5th, is the last day to turn in rank advancement and merit badges for this Court of Honor.
Yours in Scouting,
Mr. Paul Mooring

We are looking for parents that would like to become a merit badge counselor for just “one” badge. You can help our troop achieve all their badge dreams by emailing: MaryBeth.r.martin@gmail.com or Wes Brewer at wesbrewer@hotmail.com . You will not be regularly called upon for help, but having your name on the list of experts is a great help when scouts are trying to advance!
Good news!! We are breaking down the role of trip planner/outdoor coordinator into multiple jobs.
ASK: We NEED you to step up and volunteer to take on managing JUST ONE TRIP. The adventures are what makes scouting so memorable & we can’t do it alone. Just one trip. You pick the month.
ABOUT: You do not need to attend the trip. This is about making reservations and figuring out trip attendance. The locations have already been chosen by the scouts & there is a template to follow from previous years. Please consider volunteering to organize JUST ONE TRIP. Most of the work is done but we need to redistribute the workload to not burn out our volunteers. If you like to make dinner reservations or vacation plans: this is the perfect job for you. Please contact the volunteer coordinator to signup you (or your spouse!!) Mary Beth Martin at 678-596-7312 or Marybeth.r.martin@gmail.com
The Scouts that stay involved the longest have parents also involved in the program. If your son or daughter has attended a trip in the past, they have benefitted from the work of a volunteer! Now, it’s your turn. JUST ONE TRIP!
