On the 23rd september because my mum  said we were going out for breakfast at 7:00 so we got all ready and at 7:15 am our grandad turned up to pick us up and take us to where we were going for breakfast. Twenty minutes later we arrived at the train station I asked mum and grandad what we were at the train station for they said that we were having breakfast here I said I don’t think there is  a restaurant here then grandad went up to the counter and paid then we went outside and then we got a train about half an hour later the train went grandad didn't come on the train he left in his car when the train started moving it went really fast and then i asked mum if she knew about this she said yes i said why didn’t you tell us that we were going on a train she said i wanted it to be a surprise she didn’t want me to read the tickets when she took a photo of me holding the tickets i see through the back and it said we were going from christchurch to greymouth and then I got so excited mum asked me why I was so excited i said because we are going to greymouth she was like are we i was like use your eyes and read the ticket. She said ok and then she realized that we were. I was like are you excited she was like yes it took 5 hours to get there is was very exciting when we got there we seen our grandad  and his girl person   called helen the one that took us to the train station in a car it takes 4 hours to get from christchurch to greymouth. We went through lots of tunnels and we stopped in arthur's pass for about ten minutes we were allowed to get out of the train until they beeped the horn. It was 30 more minutes we stopped in lake bruna   then we got to greymouth about 20 minutes later.Once we had a photo outside the greymouth train station we got in grandads car and we went to this place that we were staying in for the night when we got there mum look at her presents and she saw a cake on the table she was so excited so helen lit the candles and mum blew them out grandad made the cake i had a piece of slice that he also made then i had a piece of cake i couldn’t eat all of my cake because i was full so once we had a look around the house we decided what bed we were going to sleep in i decided the top bunk on the other set of bunk beds because there was to sets of bunk beds aroha and mum decided the grandad and helen had to share the bed in the other room there was also this little side room that needed a certain key i think it had all the cleaners stuff in it we also had a very nice table in the lounge the lounge was huge the kitchen was small then we had a little play on the bounce pillow and playground that was behind our house. Then we went for a drive to hokitika gorge and went on the swing bridge it was above water it was up really high on the way to hokitika gorge we seen a street sign with our last name on it and a creek that had our last name on after we had done the forest walk and went on the swing bridge we went to speights ale house me and my sister had fish and chips from there it was delicious mum had steaks with mushroom sauce,chips,salad grandad had green chicken thai curry helen had lamb shanks. It all looked delicious the funny thing is that i can’t eat egg and usually in battered fish it has egg but not there one so it was really special and super super nice. After tea we went back to the house and  went on the playground and bounce pillow for about 5-10 minutes and then we went back to the house and we played throw the pigs and then we got bored so we played colored tag but the grown ups did not understand how to play so helen went out to the car to get the little activity books and we played cards the game we played with the cards is snap. Then aroha got tired and said i want to go to bed so she did and then she got up 5 minutes later she got up and complained that she was hungry so we had some crackers and dip then i did some colouring in and then i went and brushed my teeth and then asked helen if she would put me to bed she said yes so i gave my mum,grandad,aroha a kiss and cuddle then helen put me to bed i asked mum if i could move to the other bunk bed because the side was wiggly and i didn’t feel safe she said yes so i was on top if aroha and my mum once i woke up the next day i cheeked the time it was 7:40 am so i climbed back into bed and donked my head on the metal bar it hurt so i layed down and then i heard helen and grandad so i got up and accidentally woke mum and aroha up i told them that i was going to chill out with grandad and helen and also have a drink so i did then i did some coloring in then mum and aroha got up and we got all ready to go and put all of our stuff in the car then we went on the playground and trampoline also the bounce pillow then we left and feed the chickens that were behind the office and then we went in the car and mum said that she wanted to go to shanty town again one day it was big surprise grandad drove to shanty town we got out of the car and then went and payed and then we went on the steam train and had a look around then we went on the playground and i got a wet bottom from the merry go round and then i got off the merry go round and lined up to go on the zip line then i went on the tyre swing. We left and went back in the car and started to drive home but first we dropped helen off at her friends house and then we went to the warehouse and then we went and picked up helen from her up from her friends house. Then we drove home it took along time we drove thru the mountains and then when we got back into hornby mum rung pizza hut and ordered pizza and then we asked grandad if he would take us to pizza hut so he did when we got home we sat down watched tv and ate our pizza mmm delicious.I loved the surprise trip.

 this is the swing bridge it is up real high I felt like I was going to fall into the water it was not a surprise for mum because at night time they ring eachover and plan it but it was a surprise for us
