I am writing this letter in support of Nikki Rivera for Pennsylvania state representative in the 96th Legislative District.
I have known Nikki for many years, and she is a tireless worker for her many interests. Nikki is a mother of five and a Spanish teacher at Warwick High School.
In addition, she has served on the Manheim Township school board since 2016, most of those years as president of the board. I attend school board meetings and observe how Nikki oversees and directs the meetings in a very professional and courteous manner, even when some contentious items are brought before the board.
Nikki is an advocate for all students and will fight for the best educational practices and environment for everyone. She will continue the work to get the fair funding formula implemented within the seven-year time frame that the state Basic Education Funding Commission recommended and that was passed by the state House. This will greatly help our underfunded public schools.
Nikki’s abilities will certainly be helpful, needed and essential in Harrisburg, working with many different personalities to advance the business of our commonwealth.
These are just some of the reasons Nikki has earned my vote and hopefully your vote for Pennsylvania state representative Nov. 5.
