Signed authorizations are required for any medication to be dispensed on a school trip. Please take a moment to be sure that the forms you submit(ted) over the summer on Magnus Health reflect your student's current medication regimen and let the nurse (kendra_wiesel@watkinson.org) know as soon as possible (no later than Monday 9/15) if you need to make any changes. Students may not bring any unauthorized medications on the retreats, including over-the-counter medications.

Medication Drop-off and Pick-up Process

If your student has medication here at school (including prescriptions and/or emergency meds), the nurse will pack that for them, no need to send additional supplies.
Medications should be dropped off to the reception desk in Feringa Hall NO LATER THAN END OF DAY TUESDAY 9/16. Medications MUST be in their original packing/prescription bottle. Schools cannot accept/dispense any loose medications, including those in pill organizers. For prescriptions, please provide only the doses needed, with a maximum 1 dose extra in case of dropped/lost doses, unless they come in a specialized dispensing packet. Place all meds needed for the trip in a ziplock bag labeled with your student's name and grade.
If your student SELF-CARRIES an emergency medication such as epinephrine and inhalers, please be sure it is with them the day of departure.
Please give ALL MORNING med doses on the day of departure before the bus.
Be sure to meet with a trip chaperone when picking your student up on Friday for the return of any medication bottles/supplies.
