A blurry and very low detail background like the pictures below will also count as a simple background-available for bust and halfbody options. Works well with environments like forests, mostly anything involving nature. Interiors and buildings are not available for this style as of yet. There may be additional fees depending on the complexity of the background.
*Simple background=generally gradients, solid colors, abstract colors/shapes.
*Simple backgrounds do not have a different price for vertical and wide formats, due to there not being much detail in the first place to increase difficulty or time spent.
Adding pets/animals in the scene: Anywhere from 10usd~60usd
It depends on the animal, how much of it is visible etc. Feel free to ask.

THE COMMISSION PROCESS
Send me an e-mail at nozomi.matsuoka@yahoo.com or a DM on your preferred social media detailing what you want me to draw(I recommend using the commission form), and be sure to attach any references you have of your character(game screencaps, art that you commissioned from other artists etc) as well.
If I accept your commission, I will add you to the public Trello board. I will contact you 1~3 days before your spot in the queue to let you know I will get started on the commission soon. Once I get to your spot in the queue, I will get started on the thumbnail/sketch.
Once the sketch is approved, I will send you an invoice for the payment via PayPal. You can pay half upfront, half after, or full upfront-whichever you prefer. Once I receive the payment, I will start on the process of finishing the commission. Completing a commission usually takes from 5 days ~ 2 weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece. I will keep you updated on its progress with WIPs. You can also track progress from the public Trello board.
Once the commission is complete, I will send you the finished commission over e-mail or Google drive. If you paid half upfront, then you will pay the other half once you receive the finished piece.
Additional Information
Regarding the commission queue:
- I have a Trello board so you can check where you are in the queue. (For people who use their e-mail/real name for contacting me, I will only use their initials on the waitlist for privacy reasons. You can also request what to be listed as on the waitlist as well.)
- If you need to cancel the commission/drop out of the queue, or need a delay for any reason at all, please let me know as soon as possible(you don't have to specify a reason, please just let me know! I understand that situations change, so it's absolutely not a problem.)
- Please have the commission references ready by the time I get to your slot in the queue. If it's not ready, and it will take a few days to collect the reference and write up the details, please let me know and I can delay your commission and work on a different project in the meantime.
Regarding payment:
- Payment is through PayPal invoice.
- I do not take virtual points or bitcoin as payment.
- Venmo is not viable as I do not live in the states.
- Wiring money directly via bank is not an option.
- Tips via Ko-fi are very much appreciated.
Things I will or won’t draw:
- I will not draw NSFW, hentai, gore, fetish art, etc. I am not good at drawing these things.
- My main focus is Fantasy, so if your request is in that genre, I’m more likely to accept it!
- * I am willing to try out anthro art(please keep in mind I'm very new to it!), but humanoid characters have a higher chance of being accepted.
- Urban/modern themed commissions have a higher chance of not being accepted at this time due to my lack of experience in the subject.
- I accept a wide range of commissions, such as DnD, Warcraft, FFXIV, Elderscrolls, Dragon Age etc, or your own personal characters that are unaffiliated with any IP.
- Fanart commissions are acceptable as well.
Regarding adjustments and changes:
- It is highly advised that changes regarding pose, perspective, and composition, be addressed while in the sketch or thumbnail stage.
- Minor adjustments(colors, adding/subtracting/adjusting minor details) to the commission after it is finished are for free, but if the changes are big(regarding pose, composition, perspective), you will have to pay an additional fee.
- There is a chance I will cancel the commission slot if you end up changing your commission idea while waiting in the queue, but I am open to hearing out your new idea.
Regarding pricing:
- The final price may vary from the listed prices depending on how complex your commission is.
- If you want something that is not listed as an option in the pricelist, or want a custom quote for something you think doesn’t apply to any of the listed options, please feel free to ask via e-mail or DM.
Communications:
- Please contact me with the message application/system that you use most! If you check your email every day, please use your email, if you use Twitter every day, use your DMs etc. This prevents me from having to cancel your commission due to the message going to an inbox that is rarely checked/used.
- If you don't use your email or Twitter DMs as much and prefer Discord, that method is available as well. Discord handle here: nozomi_mats
However, please keep the chat exclusively commission/business related. Voice chat will not be accepted.
- I live in Japan. There may be time zone differences depending on where you live, so replies may take a few hours if you send a message while I'm sleeping!
- You should let me know if the commission is time-sensitive in any way.(gift for birthday, deadlines etc)
- If I do not respond within 24hrs to an email you sent me, that means that your email got lost, and didn't reach me! Please resend the message.
- Instagram’s messaging system does not alert me to new messages, so please consider emailing if I have not responded to your DM for over 24hrs. Thank you!
Commercial work:
- If you want a book cover, promotional material, or interior illustrations etc done by me, please send me a brief summary of your project and what my work will be used for, and I will send you my commercial rates. You can also send me your budget for your project, and we can see if we can work something out.
TERMS OF SERVICE(for non-commercial commissions)
-By commissioning me, you agree to these terms of service.
-If you have chosen to pay half after the sketch, and half after the finished commission has been sent, a lower resolution version of the completed commission will be sent first, and the high resolution image will be sent after the last half of the payment has been received on my end.
-I will retain copyright over the commissioned piece
-I reserve the right to post the commissioned piece on my social media and/or portfolio.(It is possible to ask for the commission to be kept private or have it posted at a later date.)
-I reserve the right to decline a commission for any reason.
-I will NOT use generative AI in my work.
-I do NOT claim the rights to the intellectual property of the commissioned artwork(e.g. your characters that you want me to illustrate, story, setting, designs etc)
-I will NOT re-sell, reproduce, or otherwise make further profit from the commissioned artwork.
-If I for any reason cannot complete the commission within 3 months after receiving payment, you will receive a full refund. (Exceptions apply if this is a complex piece and we have agreed upon a longer timeframe for the project)
-If you decide to cancel the commission during the Basic Values/Colors block in* you will be refunded for 50% of the amount paid.
-If you decide to cancel the commission during Overall detail pass 1*, you will be refunded for 40% of the amount paid.
There will be no refunds if you decide to cancel the commission during or after Overall detail pass 2*.

- You have the right to upload the finished commission to any social media, sites, forums etc.
-You have the right to use the finished commission as your banner and/or profile picture on social media or sites.
-You have the right to print out the finished commission for personal(non commercial) use.
-You retain all rights to the intellectual property(e.g. your character(s), related story, setting, designs etc)
-You are NOT ALLOWED to reproduce or sell the commissioned artwork unless we have an agreement in place.
-You must NOT claim the commissioned artwork as your own work.
-You are not allowed to use the commissioned work as an NFT.
-You are not allowed to use the commissioned work to train image AIs, or edit it(as in img 2 img) using AIs(such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Novel AI etc.)
