  • Share google drive file to Dr. Hayati
  • Need to finalize our specialization

Reflection:

I learned to understand more about myself about what interests me. I'm confused between entertainment design and digital animation, and lately, I find UI/UX fun too haha. But I realized that I am very interested in digital animation, like Disney, Pixar animations, etc.

General:

  • Try to find your own interest, it will determine what specialization you will take. Specialization itself will be important when you work later.
  • Dr Hayati also told us to search the article for our proposal.

  2. Problem Statement
  3. RQ
  4. RO

I'm a little happy with this week because I feel I found the topic of the proposal and something more focused, and structured. I just need to fix some parts and also define the title of the proposal.

Specific:

  • Put citations
  • Put rationale under research problem
  • Look at MIB page 6 to think about the title
  • Think about Research Question again

General:

  • Don’t forget to fill the student’s progression and reflection weekly update.

Week 4

  2. Submit research proposal in slides

Reflection:

The workshop is really informative. Give a lot of information about citing in APA style and also a lot of information in the library, which really help me in the future.

General:

  • Prepare 5 articles (within 5 years) relevant particular topic
  • Don’t use websites, magazines, etc. Just use the official academic general article.

  3. Revisions the proposal
  4. Identified 5 articles.
  • Do revisions on my research proposal (rationale, RO, and RQ)
  • Use Mendeley for Critical Review Task

Reflection:

I tend to be a person who is not good at reading a lot of writing in a long period of time and a lot. I feel like there's a lot of work to be done and a little overwhelmed. I hope next week off so I can get a little room to breathe. I also realized that Mendeley is very useful especially for someone like me who can only read a lot of writing once.

Specific:

  • Add more citations to your rationale.
  • Do minor revisions to your Research Question and Research Objective.

General:

  • Mendeley is really informative and useful for you in the future. Understand it basic how to use Mendeley on YouTube.
  • Identified 5 articles using Mendeley

Reflection:

I have a hard time on this week. Even though it’s holiday, but I need to do my task for critical review. I keep searching article but cannot find the one that I want. I keep finding book or article journal with the different topic. I feel like I am not enjoying my holiday.

It’s Public Holiday

Week 7

  1. Watch lecture recording
  2. Read lecture
  3. Summarize lecture
  4. Submit critical review on google classroom
  • Finish and submit critical review

Reflection:

I'm very happy with this week. Although this week is also tough because I have to immediately collect the results of my assignments at the end of the week, but next week is an independent learning week that gives me room to breathe from the very tiring tasks. This week I also know where to go and not go blind. I am grateful to know what Mendeley is through this module because it is very useful, effective, and easy to use for this module and future tasks.

Specific:

  • Wherever review that you have done to make sure that a copy of summarize into that particular article again in Mendeley
  • Try to search in other world wide web which no need to pay
  • To be a critical reader and critical reviewer your need to be able to make sense of what you write.

General:

  • Use your Mendeley to highlight and take notes.
  • Finish your critical review this Sunday before 12 noon at google classroom.
  • the content of the review, ought to cover the structure, methodology, reasons or evidence, conclusions and the logical flow of discussion.

Week 8

  1. Watch lecture recording
  2. Read lecture
  • Do task for Primary Data

Reflection:

I am very happy in this week because it is independent learning week. I can take a few breaths to escape from heavy tasks for a while. Also this week, I'm working on an assignment for Primary Data. I chose Survey as Quantitative Data Collection Method. Apart from preparing 5W1H, I also work on survey questions. In my opinion, this task is lighter than the previous tasks. So I do it faster than any other task.

It’s Independent Learning Week

Week 9

  1. No lecture today
  • Do the task for Primary Data
  • Watch feedback recording

Reflection:

This week, I'm a little confused about how to start because last week's work wasn't very appropriate for this task. After I saw the recorded feedback from Dr Hayati, I became more aware of what Dr Hayati meant at that time. Video recording lectures really helped me in doing this assignment. I hope in the feedback next week there is a way that I can pass. Because these weeks are approaching the end of the semester so I don't have much time.

Specific:

  • Because your content is a bit technical, the general survey won't really answer your research.

General:

  • Don’t forget to update it on your google drive

Week 10

  1. Briefed about Primary Data (next week is the deadline)
  • Completing the questionnaire
  • Ask experts
  • Finished the primary data task

Reflection:

This week was a bit exciting because I got to deal with a lot of experts. It’s not easy to reach out to the experts. I have contacted many experts, but not many have answered. I realized that this is the importance of a connection. Many people always say, multiply your connections when you are young. I think that is very true. I am grateful that I can complete the primary data task this week

Specific:

  • Numbered your questionnaire
  • You can look for an expert from the internet (e.g freelancer animator, etc)

General:

  • Finished your primary data

Week 11

  1. Read lecture
  2. Watch lecture
  3. Summarize lecture
  • Briefed assignment 4 – Research Reflection Report and Presentation (5min, max 20 slides)

Reflection:

This week, I emailed all the companies that Dr Hayati recommended. So far only one company replied to my email and responded to my questionnaire. I will try to still open my questionnaire before the end of the week.

Specific:

  • Don’t close the google form first. Try to contact more on the company.

General:

  • Make sure that your presentation is 5 minutes, maximum of 20 slides.

Week 12

  1. No lecture today
  • Completing data primary task
  • Briefed and reminded report and presentation

Reflection:

This week, I emailed my seniors from Dr Hayati’s recommendation. I also prepared the report and slides to compile everything.

Specific:

  • Contact these your seniors' contact so you can compare many responses.
  • Later on in the presentation, put 3 top things for the primary data because you only have a maximum of 20 slides.

General:

  • Many of you still prefer quantity to quality.
  • Refer to the rubric. It’s your video, so your face needs to be there on the video recording.

Week 13

  1. No lecture today
  2. Dr Hayati gives some examples for the reflection and reports
  • Briefed report and reflection
  • Checking our progression

Reflection:

This week I have to do a progression for reports, reflections, and presentations for assignment 4. Actually, this week is quite difficult because there are many other lesson assignments that must be done and completed. I can only work on the report and it's not finished yet.

Specific:

  • Thanks good that you are right on track, good luck with the preparing reflection report

General:

  • Try to not put “I”, put your name or researcher, etc.

Week 14

  1. No lecture today
  • Finishing everything

Reflection:

This week there is no class so it gives me more time to do my assignments. I can complete all the tasks this week. this is so relaxing and fun. I finished the report first, it took quite a long time because each section had to have its own reflection. After finishing the report, I finished the presentation slide for the recording presentation, and finally, I recorded myself using Zoom.

No class today
