Fundraisers
- Fundraisers are necessary to purchase more music, pay for the band for our staged shows, get new gear, etc.
- Main Fundraisers
- Give to the Max is through GiveMN and is held in November. The choir sets a goal and it’s up to each member to try and reach our goal. We typically ask each member to try and raise $100 ($10 from 10 people).
- Fund the Band is a fundraiser we use to help pay for the musicians we hire for the staged shows. We ask members to share through their own social media channels to help with this.
- We have other fundraisers we cycle through. In the past we’ve done silent auctions, restaurant shares, flower sales, shoe drives, gift basket raffles, and more!
- Employer Matching/Volunteer Hours
- Many employers offer volunteer hour funding (we can count our senior show performances for this) or have gift matching. If your company does this, please let us know so we can get this rolling!
- Successful fundraisers keep our dues and show costs low, and our performance quality high!
Social Gatherings
- Throughout the year, members try to support local art/musicians/actors by attending performances together. Stay tuned for these opportunities.
- Main Gatherings
- The winter gathering is held at the end of December or early January. This gathering is where we take head shots and group photos, have a potluck, visit, and preview the choreography for the spring season.
- The end of the year meeting is held mid-June after all of our shows are completed. This is also a potluck and is typically held at a member’s community room, pool, or home. During this meeting we hang out, visit, eat, and then discuss the season we just had. We talk about what we thought went well, go over our feedback survey (sent out in May), and make decisions for the next season.
