Nearpod is a great tool for content delivery in a fun, engaging way. This program also allows teachers to embed interactive activities and collect formative and summative assessment data.  Join us to learn all about it, and create your own Nearpod lesson. This course can count as the webinar portion of becoming a Nearpod Certified Educator.

Newsela 

This website gives teachers and students access to thousands of content specific, high interest articles. Teachers can utilize features such as Lexile levels to both personalize and differentiate learning. If you are a middle school or high school teacher in Pitt County, you have access to the pro account of Newsela. Elementary teachers, this is a wonderful resource for you as well!

Hyperdocs

Are you looking for a way to engage your students while allowing them to take more control over their learning? Hyperdocs are a great way to facilitate learning by providing choice, digital and hands-on learning experiences, and opportunities for reflection. This course will provide an overview of Hyperdocs, and participants will work through the process of creating a Hyperdoc to be shared with their students.

SchoolNet: Customizing Assessment Around Curriculum

This mini-course will review what a student experiences in Schoolnet, items in Schoolnet and how to create, schedule, and assign manual/express test.

Blind Kahoot 

Kahoot, an online, game-style response system is typically used to review content. The strategy of Blind Kahoot, utilizes this tool to teach new content. This course will provide step by step instructions and templates to help you create a Blind Kahoot experience to engage your students in the learning process. Participants will create a Blind Kahoot and deliver it to their students.

Student Response Systems: 

There are many tools freely available for teachers to use with students to gather formative and summative assessment data. Join us to explore four of these: Answer Garden, Kahoot, Socrative, and Quizizz. Participants will learn how to use each of these tools, and create assessments to deliver to your students.
