VOLUNTARY WATER CONSERVATION IN THE TORREY WATER SERVICE AREA.
Torrey Town Council/Water Service Area Board does not, at this time, want
to impose restrictions on culinary water use. Rather, the intent is to
call on the common sense and good nature of citizens to help us all.
To help ensure that water flows as needed, even in emergency situations,
this policy statement requests Voluntary Conservation of culinary water as
follows:

Houses and Businesses east of 3rd East, water lawns and gardens on EVEN
dates 6 AM - 10 AM and 6 PM - 10 PM, 20 minutes per station/section.

Houses and Businesses west of 3rd East, water lawns and gardens on ODD
dates, 6 AM - 10 AM and 6 PM - 10 PM, 20 minutes per station/section.

In addition, wise and limited use of water by residential and business
users for sanitation, cooking and bathing is requested.

Several factors that will affect Torrey's water system now and into the
future:

☃️Snow-pack: We currently stand well below normal for the 2017-2018 water
year and there have been several years of below-normal snow to nurture
Torrey's water sources.

🚜Construction: In a perfect world, the construction of the new pipeline
and transfer to that as as the server should be seamless with only limited
downtime. Weather, delays, and errors, are all factors that could
potentially create problems.

🌎Increased Demand: New residents and businesses combined with a robust
parade of tourist traffic are the new reality. For the past three years,
lodging properties have started early with strong occupancy and have
stayed at record levels through the season.

The best incentive, of course, is to know that we are all doing our part
to assure that water flows through the season and year.

The policy for Voluntary Water Conservation will stay in effect
indefinitely.
