2022-23 REPLACEMENT HOURS & PROFESSIONAL LEARNING DAYS
🕓 Replacement Hours ~ All professional staff will receive 6 hours of replacement time for preparing their classroom for the 2022-2023 school year. There is NO form to fill out, all professional staff receive the 6 hours automatically. The replacement hours count towards the November 23, 2022  “Optional” Professional Development Day.
🎓 2 Summer Professional Learning Days ~  Completing two Summer Professional Learning Days and the associated Frontline form during the summer of 2022 allows professional staff to have August 19 and September 2, 2022, as a day off. If NOT completed and submitted to the Frontline form, professional staff will be REQUIRED to come to work on August 19 and/or September 2, 2022, to partake in district-directed professional learning. All days must be completed outside of the contracted school day calendar between June 6, 2022 - August 15, 2022.
- Note: New hires will need to complete the days before May 29, 2023.
Details:
- The Vector Solutions mini-courses will be available on June 6, 2022.Â
- This may or may not add up to 6 hours, but your completion of these counts for 6 hours of Summer Professional Learning.
- PDE requires the mandates to be completed every school year, that's why you have to complete them after 6/6/22 to count towards the 22-23 school year's contracted teacher days.
- Self-selected Professional Learning Day: The second “Professional Learning Day” requirement is to be selected from “Wilson’s Summer Workshop Descriptions” sheet and must be related to job responsibilities. There is no prior approval necessary for Wilson-provided workshops. Please register for the workshops in Frontline.
- If you would like to experience a different workshop for your professional learning, you must receive approval from your principal/supervisor and final approval by the Office of Teaching and Learning using the “Conference & Workshop Request” form found in Frontline.
- If your role requires you to be involved in curriculum development or a specific initiative, that work will count first towards your required “Summer Professional Learning Day” before being paid. Please contact your supervisor or department chair for more information.
- If you are in the New Teacher Induction (NTI) program, it can count towards these hours.
- <<ACTION>> Please submit to the “2022-23 Professional Learning Days Form (Mandatory Trainings - 6 hrs & Self-select 6 hrs)” found in Frontline one time for a total of 12 hours (6 hours from the Mandatory Trainings/Need-to-Knows, plus 6 hours from Summer Professional Learning). Include all activities you attended during the summer in this 1 submission form found in Frontline.
