Old Business

Awarded Buell Foundation grant to help with operational costs and touchless faucets
Faucets were ordered in July 2021, narrowing down the contractor for installation.
The Delta variant brought on a new set of challenges (awaiting guidance from the CDC if masks will need to be worn again)-Director has requested that all individuals entering the building wear masks again. (Awaiting if mandate will come from the City)

Member Update (3:15pm)

Increase in families leaving due to COVID
Uprise in families testing positive for COVID (Following CDC guidelines related to quarantine and retesting before returning))
Industry leaders are back into the offices; video conferences are still preferred
Several vaccine clinics have become available for teachers to receive vaccinations at no cost
Enrollment among all classrooms remains relatively low

Although the markets offer opportunity to diversify funds, VFS has decided to consolidate funds and reinvest back into the operations of the organization.

New Business (3:30)

VFS is seeking to streamline the referral process to allow more specialist to work with children
Seeking to beautify the outdoors to reflect a more welcoming and polished look
Staff will be encouraged to enroll in additional courses related to ECE
VFS seeks to increase its enrollment (slowly)
VFS seeks to hire an additional staff member to support classrooms
