AD DS Organizational Units (19.1 – 19.2)

OUs have been created to match the hierarchy of Carmour.com. This has been setup based on regional office locations. As requested the Research OU has been change to ED. The Sales OU and Marketing OU have been moved from the Corporate branch and into New York and Chicago.

Group Delegation for Corporate OU (19.3 – 19.4)

The following Tasks have been delegated to the “Account Operators” group.

• Create, Delete, And Manage User Accounts
• Reset User Passwords And Force Password
• Change At Next Logon Read All User Information
• Create, Delete, And Manage Groups
• Modify The Membership Of A Group

The following custom tasks have been delegated to the “Server Operators” group.

Objects:

• User Objects Computer Objects
• Contact Objects Group Objects
• Organizational Unit Objects Printer Objects

Permissions:

• Create All Child Objects
• Read All Properties
• Write All Properties

Object Creation (19.5 – 19.9)

The following objects have been created, configured and/or moved in active directory.

• Users:

• Maria D. President
• John Q. Adams
• Jane R. Admin
• Sales Template (Disabled)
• Jenny Sales(Via Sales Template)

• Sharded Folders:

• Software
• Test

• Computers:

• Workstation1 (Created, Moved, Reset)

Group Policies (19.10 – 19.11)

The Following Changes have been made to the domains default group Policy.

• Minimum Password Length Increased to 8 Characters
• Disabled Access to the control Panels and PC settings for users.

A group policy has been created for the group Passgroup through ADSI with the name CustomPolicy.

Shared Printer and Folder (19.12 – 19.13)

A text-only printer has been setup as a shared printer. This printer is currently located in Building 203. A shared folder for Everyone has been created through the folder properties. This Folders has also been added to the RD Out through the Active Directory Tools.

Find Features (19.14)

The Find feature has been uses to find users with admin within their users name.

Password Settings (19.15)

A custom password setting policy has been created for the IT department.
