MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Sophomore point guard Jamaryn Blair was named the MVP and Anna Walker and Hannah Lombard joined her on the State All-Tournament team as was announced prior the trophy ceremony.

Blair who had the assist on the game winning shot led the Bearettes with 18.7 points and averaged 1.3 rebounds in the three games in the state tournament. The 5-foot-6-inch guard was able to record seven assists and four steals in the tournament and dropped a career-high 25 points in the championship game. Blair shot 48 percent (18-for-37) from the floor and 42 percent (3-of-7) from behind the 3-point line. Blair was a cool, clam, and collective going 17-for-20 (85 percent) from the charity stripe and was able to drive and get to the rim to force overtime in the Bearette semifinal victory over Oak Ridge. The sophomore was declared the tournament MVP.

Walker threw in 11.3 points a game of her own to go along with 4.3 boards. The 6-foot-1-inch junior post blocked 13 shots over three games and had five steals in the tournament. Walker went 38 percent (13-for-34) overall and 4-for-13 (30 percent) from distance. The post was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Lombard hit the game winning 3-pointer in the championship game over Houston, her second three in the tournament on five attempts (40 percent). The undersized, senior post averaged six points and a team-high five rebounds to go with five assists, three blocks, and a steal in the three games. Lombard hit 10 free throws on 13 attempts, shooting 76 percent in the tournament as the Bradley Central Bearettes were crowned the 2019 AAA State Champions.

A community wide celebration is set for Monday, March 18th at 10 p.m. at Jim Smiddy Arena.
