Slinger Soccer Club Age/Grade Divisions

The age/DOB guidelines listed below apply to both Fall/Spring and Spring-Only Registrations.

**SSC aligns their age cutoffs to align with what the School District uses**

Coed & Girls Teams for U10 - U12 - U14

• There are pros and cons to remaining on co-ed teams and to moving to a girls team.  Please reach out to the SSC Board and to other parents about their experiences when making this decision.
• Sometimes we do not have the headcount to support both co-ed and girls teams. You will be asked for your preference during the registration process.

Playing “Out of Class”

• Players sometimes ask/are asked to play up a level for various reasons.
• Players may not play down unless there are special circumstances - this needs to be approved by the SSC/KMSL Board

If you would like to request that your child play “Out of Class” or in a division that does not align with their age/grade, AFTER you register them at the age/grade level they system provides you,  then submit your request using the SSC: Request to Play “Out of Class” Form. 

Combined Grade Teams

• U05 and U06

• There may be a need to have some combined 4k/5k depending on registrations.

• U12 & U14

• KMSL allows 5th and 6th grade to be combined for U12 teams.
• KMSL allows 7th and 8th grade to be combined for U14 teams.
• SSC has been attempting to create teams specific to each grade but there may still be a need to have some combined teams depending on registrations.

• We hope this will prevent the accordian of teammates coming and going as their grade changes.
• This allows coaches to easily adjust schedules around grade-specific extra-curriculars.
• We hope this prevents the need to continually recruit new team staff.

• Team Staff generally follow their players as their grade changes leaving some behind with no coach.
