Dear Parents and/or Guardians,  

  WELCOME to first grade. We look forward to teaching your child this year. First grade is a  very exciting year of school for children. You will be delighted with the amount of growth that  happens to your child, academically and socially. To ensure success this year, there are a few  things we’d like you to prepare your child with.  

A. EARLY BEDTIME Our day in first grade is very busy!  

B. CRAYONS (2 Boxes) We will start off with one and replace it when new  crayons are needed!  

C. SCISSORS (1 Pair) Please put your child’s name on them.  

D. PENCILS (1 Box) NO PENCIL SHARPENERS!  

E. 1 SUPPLY CONTAINER  

*Mr. Barbeau, Ms. Farnsworth, Ms. Shortslef: plastic box  

*Mrs. Bletch: soft zipper case  

F. DRY ERASE MARKERS These will be used on our whiteboards! (as pictured)   (2 Thin), as pictured  

G. TISSUES (1 or 2 Boxes): Our nurse has some but we always can use more.    

H. DISINFECTING WIPES Germs spread easily. These will help keep  

our classroom clean and germ-free!  

I. HEADPHONES One pair to use with iPads, with their name on them.
