Exciting Opportunities:

Take a look at Ms. Henderson’s scholarship highlights HERE!

Attend the Broomfield High School Women’s Empowerment Conference on April 6th at 9am. Register HERE.

If you identify as a high achieving African or African American male, consider applying for Denverʻs Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship, which offers $1500-$4000 across four years of college. Apply HERE.

Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver this summer. If selected for this opportunity, you will work in a ReStore one shift per week! You can fill out the application HERE.

College Corner:

Apply to the Lockheed Martin SEM Scholarship Program, which awards $10,000 to 100 recipients studying an eligible STEM major at a 4-year college or university. Recipients may renew the scholarship up to three times for a total potential value of $40,000 per student. The application is HERE!

Apply for the University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship, which awards a student $10,000 to study any trade involving automotive/collision repair. Due March 31st!

College Corner:   If you are in the top 10% of your class, and identify as a first-generation college student and/or a student from a low income household, you should apply to the Questbridge College Prep Scholars Program. This program is completely free and applications open in mid February. Ms. Ellis will facilitate “Lunch Bunches” to support your application process.

Scholarship Support: Build a Going Merry Profile to access scholarship opportunities. It is never too early to start applying for scholarships!

Prep Academy (Freshman + Sophomore) Corner

Exciting Opportunities:

Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver this summer. If selected for this opportunity, you will work in a ReStore one shift per week! You can fill out the application HERE.

Additionally, current high school sophomores should consider applying to the WPI Frontiers Program, which is a two-week summer STEM experience (residential, in person) in Worcester, MA. DSST students go for FREE! The application is linked here. This application is due on April 30th.  

College Prep Resources: Volunteering and community service is an important part of your college application. Build your volunteer experience this summer by signing up for a Teen Volunteer Program at Denver Botanic Gardens. Check out the website and reach out to Ms. Ellis for additional support.
