The Honor of Kings: Proverb 25:2

The Honor of Kings

By Lance Howard

Proverb 25:2 THV Version

It is the honor, majesty, and glory of The Great One to hide or conceal a matter, like a secret mystery, a hidden truth for those who are ready to know. It is concealed to those who are unaware and not looking for it. It is the honor, majesty, and magnificence of souls of true nobility to search for, investigate, and intimately examine the mystery.

Typical Translation

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” - Proverbs 25:2 KJV

THV Commentary

The Highest Intelligence has the power to withhold and reveal. Kings and Queens (royalty) have the unique position of leadership in and from which a certain mandate is

given to lead by the wisdom and love that flow The Great I AM. The best of leaders will possess this heart which seeks the mysteries of The Highest. They desire to understand, grow from, and utilize, in service to all they lead and all of the children of “A-dam” (mankind).

Beyond this, those who are not in positions of power but live with the character of devotion, love, and service to all, understanding the personal sacrifice it requires, are born of and have arisen from The Sacred. In the “kingdom of heaven” they are considered greater than earthly Kings and Queens.

This passage reveals a certain characteristic of anyone who would seek the mysteries of Life. Such character qualifies them as a person of “royalty”- royal stock, that is beyond lineage or bloodline, through a sacred determination that comes from within their hearts. They acknowledge Its value for improving one’s understanding of harmonious, healthy, and vibrant living that is in tune and in rhythm with the Song of Teh Great I AM, free of the Ego.

To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.” - Proverbs 1:2

The word for “proverb” is mashal (H4912). It means, a pithy maxim, usually of metaphorical nature; hence, a simile (as an adage, poem, discourse):—byword, like, parable, proverb.

It also means “to rule, to have dominion, power” (H4910), in some original sense of superiority in mental action; and is related to H4467 “kingdom”, mamlakah. This supports the idea that true royalty, from the perspective of The Sacred One, is related to seeking and understanding Truth.
