2023-2024        Teaching Assistant, Angela Piehl, Figure Painting Course, UW-Milwaukee

Assisted students in live figure painting sessions. Staged and blocked environment for live models to ensure visibility and context for instruction. Implemented painting strategies related to the figure. Provided individual mentorship of undergraduate students. Demonstrated model protocols and procedures and prioritized communication and direction with the models.

2023-2024        Undergraduate Research Assistant, Joseph Mougel, UW-Milwaukee  

Researched Peck School of the Arts’ Red Grooms 1972 Mural of students and faculty.. Conducted interviews with UW-Milwaukee faculty and alumni to gather information for visual aid components alongside mural. Collaborated with faculty in Painting & Drawing and Photography & Imaging to create professional documentation of the mural. Gave public speech at research symposium about research developments and new visual guides for mural spectators. Created visual aid, print based visual content, and creative works inspired by research.

Managed and organized artist’s studio space, materials, emails, calendar, and monthly newsletter. Assisted artist in researching, developing, and installing artwork for exhibitions. Professionally documented completed artworks.

Consulted with customers to discuss framing needs, preferences, and budget. Accurately measured and cut frame components such as mats and glass using specialized tools. Assembled frame components and securely attached artwork within the frame. Maintained a clean and organized workspace.
