Thursday November 16, 2023- Virtual via Zoom

Call to order at 6:38 pm. Roll call was held, and a quorum was present. 

Colorado River: Absent

Gunnison Dolores: Absent

Lower Ark: Absent

Lower South Platte: Dale Parker

North-Platte, White Yampa: Nick Charchalis

Rio Grande: Brian Neufeld

Republican: Jim Cecil- Chair

San Juan: Gary Thrash

Upper Ark: George Fosha

Upper South Platte: Bob Warner

Approval of minutes from 2022

Nick Charchalis, North-Platte White Yampa WS, moved to approve the 2022 minutes. Dale Parker, Lower South Platte WS, seconded the motion. Motion Passed Unanimously.

Cost Assistance for Virtual Fencing- Action Item

Submitting District:  Center Conservation District

George Fosha, Upper Arkansas WS moved to accept the resolution.  Bob Warner, Upper South Platte WS seconded the motion.  Motion passed unanimously.  Resolution was opened for discussion.   It was suggested to amend the resolution to read “The CACD shall encourage the Natural Resource Conservation Service to fund Virtual Fencing and solar-powered livestock eartags under existing cost assistance programs”.  Dale Parker, Lower South Platte WS moved to accept the amendment.  Brian Neufeld, Rio Grande WS, seconded the motion.  Motion to accept the amendment passed unanimously.  Motion to accept the amended resolution passed unanimously.

RESOLUTION WILL MOVE TO THE GENERAL SESSION.

Brian Neufeld, Rio Grande WS is nominated as Chair for 2024, no other nominations. There were no nominations for Vice Chair 2024, no other nominations.  Nomination was accepted by acclamation.
