All scholarship applications at Galesburg Community Foundation open February 1 and close March 1.

Helen H. Wetherbee Nursing Scholarship

Students accepted into a school of nursing or currently studying under a nursing program are encouraged to apply for the Helen H. Wetherbee Nursing Scholarship. This scholarship is open to Knox County area students. The filing deadline is March 1.

John E. Bohan Excellence in Athletics Scholarship

High school seniors from United High School are encouraged to apply for the John E. Bohan Excellence in Athletics Scholarship. This scholarship is open to senior football players who have been accepted into a collegiate program of study. The filing deadline is March 1.

Becky Carlson Scholarship

Seniors at United High School are encouraged to apply for the Becky Carlson Scholarship. Applicants must be a United High School Senior and have participated in the Special Education Program at United School District #304 K-12. Applications are due March 1.

Cole Steele Memorial Scholarship

The Cole Steele Memorial Scholarship is for Knoxville High School students interested in pursuing an education in a vocational program, including but not limited to welding. Students having a background or experience in agriculture will be given additional consideration. Deadline to apply is March 1.

Oneida Telephone Exchange Scholarship
The Oneida Telephone Exchange Scholarship is awarded to an eligible ROWVA High School senior. Eligible applicant families must be in good standing of the Oneida Telephone Exchange Coop and/or Oneida Networks Services. Applications are due March 1.

Steve McBride Scholarship

The Steve McBride Scholarship was established in 1978 by Steve's closest friends and members of the Alexis Men's Club.  This scholarship is awarded to two graduates of United High School who are a resident of North Henderson, Suez, Kelly or Spring Grove townships.  Applicants are judged based on written application and in-person interviews with the Steve McBride Scholarship committee.  The award will be given to the most deserving seniors at United High School.  Applications are due March 1.

Lyle Pierce Athletic and Leadership Scholarship

The Lyle Pierce Athletic and Leadership Scholarship is awarded to a Warren County high school senior, nominated by their Athletic Director, and planning to continue their education majoring in Education. This is a paper application. Nominations and Applications from Athletic Directors are due March 1.
