Circle of Concern Food Pantry

Circle of Concern serves west St. Louis County, a part of the St. Louis metropolitan area known for beautiful homes, corporate headquarters, good schools and a thriving business community. West County is also home to families that struggle every day to make ends meet. Lay-offs, underemployment, illness or injury, age and more – many families in the thick of West County prosperity find themselves urgently in need of assistance.  The food pantry is available by appointment only.

Kirk Care: Kirkwood Community Food and Financial Assistance Organization

Kirk Care is a non-profit organization formed by the Kirkwood Ministerial Alliance. Its mission is to help the needy who live within the boundary of the Kirkwood R-7 school district. It is directed and staffed by lay people from the churches within the R-7 school district. Churches, schools, individuals, and many civic organizations in the area contribute to Kirk Care with food and/or money. Kirk Care members take an active role in providing services to those in need for the communities of Kirkwood, Glendale, Warson Woods, Oakland and Des Peres.

Loaves and Fishes

We are a thriving food pantry and emergency homeless shelter for families with children. Fifteen thousand people benefit from our programs that now include intensive case management, life skills classes, parenting classes, financial education, counseling, housing readiness, housing navigation, and employment programs. These services include seasonal programs that address food insecurity, family unity, holiday expenses, and just being a kid.  The food pantry is available by appointment only.

Maplewood Salvation Army

The Salvation Army in Maplewood helps individuals who need assistance with things such as clothes, food, paying utility bills and rent payments. They have a social worker available to help individuals on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am-1:00 pm.  The food pantry is available by appointment only.

Webster-Rockhill Ministries

WRHM is an emergency social service organization with a three-fold mission: 1) Providing emergency assistance to people in need; 2) Working to create new life options for people; 3) Seeking to improve community by breaking down barriers and promoting understanding between people.  In 2006, the Ministries served nearly 6,000 people in the Webster and Rock Hill areas through a variety of programs like food, clothing, medicines, etc.
