“Live on the Bidwell Plaza”
On Tuesday, June 31, please join Crooked Tree Arts Center for its new evening music series: “Live on the Bidwell Plaza.”
From 5:30 – 7 p.m., relax on CTAC’s Bidwell Plaza and groove to family-friendly tunes, while enjoying complimentary summer fare. Limited chairs and picnic tables are available for seating; bringing a folding chair is recommended. There will be fun, outdoor activities for kids and adults, and the galleries will be open for patrons to check out the three summer exhibitions.
July’s “Live on the Bidwell Plaza” features Kellerville, a local Americana duo that packs a punch. Lee Dyer and Holly Keller juggle a double handful of instruments adding percussion through the use of a washboard, foot tambourine, rattles, shakers, and a floor tom. Dyer even had his guitar customized to compliment his unique style of fingerpicking/percussion, allowing him to use his guitar as a bass drum while playing. All this combined with their intricate harmonies and foot stomping tunes will make you wonder where Dyer and Keller are hiding the bassist and drummer.
The third and final “Live on the Bidwell Plaza” event takes places Tuesday, August 21 with the CTAC School of Music performing.
This music series is generously supported in part by Marsha and Neil Bidwell.
